About the Author

Hallee Bridgeman lives with her husband and their three children in small town Kentucky. When she’s not writing Christian romance novels, she blogs about all things cooking and homemaking at Hallee the Homemaker.

Hallee started writing when her oldest child and only daughter was a baby, but a busy professional career and being the wife of a deployed soldier had her shelve her books for another time. Two more children, a cross country move, and God’s perfect timing brought the books off of the shelf to be dusted off and presented to you now.

Hallee loves coffee, campy action movies, and regular date nights with her husband. Above all else, she loves God with all of her heart, soul, mind, and strength; has been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ; and relies on the presence of the Holy Spirit. She prays her books are a blessing to you and would love to hear back from you. You can reach Hallee at

I was a little dissappointed that the ending itself was kind of short and sweet.. would have love at least one more chapter. However , anytime you can read a book this good you hate to see it end! This is a wonderful story. I was surprised more than a few times.. all good surprises. It is a great christian romance... the convictions of the heart are so powerfully written. From the knowledge of no sexual realtionships before marriage , to the love shown in a more spiritual way I was taken in from the first pages.. couldn't put this one down long.. before I would continue to read...

I could not put it down. An awesome romance novel that does not have the trash you would usually find. A wonderful refreshing read. I could not wait for Book 2.

The characters and plot are captivating and intriguing. And just when I thought I knew how it would end, there's a twist that put me back on the edge of my seat! Looking forward to the next book in this series and more from this talented storyteller.

I could not stop reading this book. Aside from all the other things that happen, I found myself relating to Robin's struggle to do everything on her own and to take care of everybody herself. Learning to accept help and learning to trust in God are the heart of this wonderful book.

Reviewed by Desere Book provided by the author for review Review originally posted at Romancing the Book This was one of the most refreshing reads I have read in a long time. The author combined true romance with religion. The manner in which the author told the story of Tony and his battles of life and how he came to overcome each and every one and became a Christian was brilliant. Not to mention that the author took me so deep into the mind of Robin and the horrible unspeakable demons she faced that I shed actual tears and felt so sad for this lost woman, it actually had me praying for her along with Tony. For anyone that loves a good romance story or even for those who feel that reading romance is a waste of time, this is the book that will change your mind on more levels than one. I loved every single second of the book and could not stop reading till I got to the very end and even then I did not want the story to end. This author truly knows the meaning of delivering a powerful message, romance at it’s best and grabbing your attention from the word go. This was the first book in the Jewel Trilogy about three sisters who have had to face horrors of the cruel world, and I for one I am very much looking forward to books two and three about Robin’s sisters Maxine and Sarah. Favorite Quote: I don’t think that there was a moment in my life that made me happier than the day that you came to know Christ, the day that you gave your life over to the Lord.

I am really feeling let down on the ending of this book. This reads like a nice Christian book, romantic and family orientated. Until...Let me interrupt reading this book to lecture you on Jesus. Then back to regular programming. Oh wait, I can easily believe that Robin could find Jesus. But her blackmailing, murdering, alcohol & drug using father suddenly seeing the light? Call me a mushroom, keep me in the dark and feed me crap. FORTY PAGES OF ADVERTISING is a bit much.

Surprising read for a romance story. It actually had substance and was not boring in spots as a lot of authors do. It had intrigue, excitement and a wonderful love story that included God. Good, clean, Christian story!

Wow. This book grabs you from the very beginning and sends you on an emotional roller coaster that keeps you turning the pages. Read as one woman who has turned her back on God meets a man who left a life of crime when he found God. It's a heart-felt romance like no other. If you love Christian romance, you're going to love this book. It's such a sweet, heart-wrenching read.

I am beginning to think some books should have a warning like t v programs that it might be offensive to some viewers if certain genre are not for you or you dont like a certain combo it helps to know in advance you can be blind sided with a grafic sex or violence tucked in
