Merciful heavens! Getting acquainted with adult teachers in a high school is one challenge, but hang with the kids too? Sarah, heaven’s little love angel who is known for bungles, has dealt with children and enjoyed them, but teenagers? My stars! They are a different ballgame. She doesn’t understand their jargon, clothes or hairdos. And mood swings? Forget it. She knew nothing about them—nada —zippo. She’d seen and heard them from above—even wondered at times why they existed on the same planet as adults. They were unique and interesting, but to mingle with them? Not a chance would she choose to do so—well, not until her latest assignment. Why would the Superiors send a bumbling angel like her to help a shy teenager find a date for a high school prom? Poopty doopty! A nightmare is about to happen.

Sarah, the klutzy, bumbling angel has a new assignment—to help a shy girl find a date for prom. I thought this book was a delight from start to finish. As always, Sarah’s antics kept me in stitches. Time passed quickly as I laughed my way through the pages. I was expecting a book full of fun, but I found that this story was also full of gentle wisdom and spiritual advice. I really enjoyed this book, and it is one that I can highly recommend.

Sarah the bumbling little angel has been assigned to find a prom date for Mackenzie Hartley. She has been teased by Ethan Rockman since grade school and wants nothing to do with him, but Sarah has been told he’s the one. Poopty Doopty. While Sarah learns about teenagers and Mackenzie strays down a dangerous path, Sarah questions what she should do and why no one from the Heavenlies is coming to her aide. Sarah learns to trust her own judgement, impresses her superiors, and gets another chance to return to earth as a matchmaker. From the first Sarah book I read, I’ve enjoyed this little angel. Gay N. Lewis offers so much with her insight and sense of humor. The novel is well written and fun, and a must read for Sarah fans.

I’ve always enjoyed Gay Lewis’ humor and loved her rendition of the quirky little angel, Sarah. But this is by far the best Sarah book yet. And so applicable to today’s dating scene. It’s obvious you did your homework, Ms. Lewis. Great story. Great characters. Great writing. I would recommend Sarah and a Date for MacKenzie to teens and grannies and every age in between. Sarah’s an angel every mom would be grateful to have watch over her sons or daughters. And the life lessons learned in this book are spot on. This was definitely a five star read for me! And I’m excited to read there’s going to be a sequel to this story. Can’t wait. Keep your nimble fingers pounding the keyboard, Gay.
