A little different when it comes to Kritters reviews. I don't always get books that are nonfiction or are self helpish. I have read this from cover to cover like I would do any other book, but I have failed in that I wanted to complete the 5 day Fast Forward before I reviewed and many other things in life got put ahead, so I stand now to vow that I will do review part 2 after the 5 day Fast Forward is complete and the results are in! Back to the review - I loved the combination of cold hard facts, real life people with their stories and practical recipes. With all three of these components, this book is more than just another diet book, I hate to even call it that - maybe more of a life guide book. I would recommend this book to the readers who want to try a different lifestyle. I am not sure living with the former catering chef that I will be able to live this lifestyle full time for long term, but I could dabble in and out of it. I am glad to know what the power and cleansing foods are, so I can consciously add them to my diet on a weekly basis.
I love this plan! Cynthia gives you 5 "puzzle pieces" to fit into each meal (breakfast, lunch, supper and snack). It is so easy to follow and you don't feel like you are starving. I would strongly recommend this book if you are needing a boost. I didn't use it to necessarily lose weight, I used it more to help cut out sugar and processed foods. The recipes are delicious!
I really loved this book! Its not only filled with how to do Sass's 30 day plan, but also contains tons of tips on nutrition in general. I think that was my favorite part about this book. I also really loved how the book didn't just say "eat this" or "don't eat that" but it actually explained pretty in depth on why you shouldn't eat certain things, or why certain things are not included in the diet.I also liked how you can vary the diet from person to person, that makes it much more open for anyone to try.The only thing I didn't quite like are the testimonies from people through the book. It annoys me a lot when there are testimonies like "I went from a size 2 to a size 0!". I mean, I get that they're all excited, and they did loose weight, but personally, I'm more inspired and more likely to try a diet if the amount of weight lost is larger. I probably would have picked better testimonies in general, but I did like the fact that there were testimonies to begin with.I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is trying to shed a few pounds, or is just more curious about nutrition, and eating healthier!
For blowing up on you. My name is derek. And yours?
