SAT and ACT Secrets 2016: Revised Edition: With New Sections on Critical Reading and the New ACT Essay by Dr. Dorene A. O'Hara

Students need the right kind of practice in order to master the ACT and the SAT exams. This book is designed as either a stand alone review book for students using the online materials from the ACT and the College Board, or as a companion book to any standard test preparation volume. This is not simply a test prep book - rather, it analyzes the exams and defines an approach to test mastery. This revised edition of SAT and ACT Secrets 2016 includes overviews of each test, practice problems and questions for all sections, and detailed answers explaining how to approach each question type. The book includes vocabulary and idiom lists, samples of the new essays for both the ACT and SAT, and a new section on critical reading methods. Students learn how to improve their speed and eliminate wrong answers in order to maximize test scores. This edition also includes a brief section for students with ADHD and other learning disabilities, with suggestions for getting the best possible score in the time allotted. Included are methods for students to take their test scores, analyze them, and move forward with targeted practice and study.
