Overview

This is Samir Sobhy's third book of poems in English. The first two were Haiku poems while this one is in regular rhyme. In these poems, he reflects upon a number of subjects in a sarcastic, ferociously critical tone, sometimes boarding on the absurd. He does not shy away from attacking ideas, institutions, professions, and social groups, which might shock some readers.

About the Author

Samir Sobhy has written and published several books in Arabic, English, and French, and Spanish. He has written (and illustrated), children's books, poetry, short stories, and plays, most of which are available on Amazon. This is his third book of poems.
In addition to being an author, Samir Sobhy is a painter; illustrator; fashion, jewelry, and architectural designer; and a former diplomat. He had several solo and group shows of his art in the United States, Europe, Senegal, and Egypt. Three houses were built from his designs in Senegal and Egypt. Two of his fashion and jewelry collections were shown in Dakar, Senegal. He lives and works in both the United States and Egypt (where he was born).
