They call him a monster.
Pale blue eyes as cold as ice that see right through you.
He's hard.
He's damaged.
He's dangerous.
He lives in a castle fit for a fairy tale, but he's no prince.
He's savage.
He's brutal.
He's a killer.
By an act of fate, our worlds collide.
They call him a monster, but he is my salvation.

Oh my goodness. Normally when I have a book I’m loving I will sit and binge read it, just hide away from the world and power through it. But not with this. LA Fiore is one of those authors whose books you savour, my literary mind is triggered and I analyse every word instinctively. I read Elusive when that released and honestly I couldn’t imagine any of her books beating that in my eyes (because hello pirates!) but Savage is the absolute best mind f**k ever! LA Fiore has created a dark, gripping, mystical fairytale that reads so perfectly as a cross between Beauty and the Beast and Red Riding Hood. It’s flawlessly written to imitate the style and tone of an original Grimm fairytale, and it gave me chills. I felt the pain of Brochan and Lizzie’s childhoods as if it were my own, the way Fiore weaves the loneliness into her storytelling is both heartbreaking and captivating. And their meeting? The journey these two lost souls travel in the dark to find love is purely magical. It was one of those books I wished I could crawl into and live there forever. I cannot WAIT to see what LA Fiore brings us next.

Sad and haunting but the love and hope we're still there. Great read.

Lizzie Danton and Brochan McIntyre grew up lonely and without the love of their parents. But while Lizzie uses her art to escape and find the good things in the world, Brochan let his dark side surface and became what everyone believes to be a monster. When Lizzie and Brochan's paths cross and their worlds collide, will they save each other and finally find happiness? I loved Savage! The story is beautiful and intriguing, hooking me from the first page. Full of drama, suspense, mystery, secrets, twists, angst, and hot scenes, Lizzie and Brochan's story is the perfect dark romance. I really loved the chemistry between Brochan and Lizzie and how they met. I also loved the double POV and the little glimpses of Brochan's and Lizzie's past. Lizzie Danton was born to be the tie that forever connected her cruel mother to her distant father. But when things didn't go how her mother wanted, Lizzie became the target of her bullying and never found love and friendship until she met her best friend. She had a dark childhood but through her art tries to see the beauty of the world. She is a very sweet and kind young woman. When she lands in Scotland and meets Brochan, her whole world changes. Brochan McIntyre upbringing was hell. His father hated him and blamed him for his mother's death. The only people that loved him and showed him kindness were the couple that raised him and a teacher. Now a man, Brochan let his dark side guide him and people believe he has become a monster. He's a very private and mysterious man that prefers his seclusion. But when he meets Lizzie everything changes for him. L.A. Fiore hit the jackpot with Savage! Lizzie and Brochan's story is one of my favorite this year, with all its emotions, amazing characters, and awesome scenery. L.A.'s writing style is flawless and she makes it very easy to connect with the story and the characters, making the reader cry, scream, laugh, and swoon throughout this amazing romance. Another five stars read from L.A. Fiore!

First I just have to say that this cover is amazing! Those pale blue eyes are hypnotizing. I would buy this book just for that cover. L.A. Fiore has such a gift of taking you to a new place and creating magic like no one else. I saw it in her book "Waiting for the One" when she took us to Maine and when she took us on a high sea adventure in "Elusive." She works that magic once again in "Savage" by taking us to beautiful Scotland. Her imagery in the landscape, the castles, the small town feel with all the wonderful small town characters really made this story stand out. But that's just the small piece to this story. What really stands out are our main characters, Brochan and Lizzie. Brochan and Lizzie have had such a sad introduction into life. Learning their tale of what you can only call survival was heartbreaking, but also inspiring. The things these two have had to overcome would crumble most people. There really is nothing better than to read about two people overcome such odds and finding true love in one another. L.A. Fiore really has done it again! ARC provided by NetGalley.
