On the ocean, off the west coast of Vancouver Island, North America
Proud and lovely Haina could not believe the arrogance of handsome Chance-Gift-from-the- Sea, a mere commoner who dared to capture her--a noblewoman and daughter of the most feared war chief on the coast.
Chance could not believe his good fortune when he and his men discover the beautiful daughter of his enemy has paddled far out to sea with only one elderly servant for protection.
But the hunter soon becomes the hunted. As Chance faces treachery in his home village and certain death abroad at the hands of Haina's ferocious family, only his love for the beautiful woman he captured can lead him to safety...
