This final installment of the Aether saga brings the series to a triumphant conclusion. I wasn't sure how the author could possibly top the action of the second book, but she has done it. I couldn't put it down for the last half of the book, and there were some real surprises that had me hollering out involuntarily (and getting me some weird looks in the process!) If there is anything I'd like to see differently, it would be to trade some of the girly relationship stuff for more action, but that is probably just me. The romance was well-done; I just wanted even more of the exciting stuff. When I finally finished, I was a little bit sad for a couple of days because I had grown so attached to this alternate steampunk world. Can we move to Pacifica City? I'd sure like to visit anyway! So maybe we'll see more stories in the future. For now, I will have to be content to re-read this fun series.
