Saving Gracie by Nancy DeMarco

2014 Winner/The Kindle Book Review!

When Gracie is visited by a redheaded ghost, Officer Trudeau thinks the old gal is hallucinating. Again. But to Gracie the ghost is real, and her message is urgent: someone will die tonight.

Sure enough, a body surfaces in Echo Lake, and the little town of Coyne Falls plunges into chaos. Officer Trudeau is anxious to solve the murder, but he's far too busy searching for a missing vacationer, sizing up a secretive partner, and combing the woods for Gracie, who's off running errands for the dead.

Meanwhile, the ghost sends Gracie on a mission: follow the beagle to save a life.

About the Author

Raised in rural New England, Nancy DeMarco doesn't mind swimming with bloodsuckers, drinking from snow melt, and outrunning deer flies. Like her characters, she has spent most of her life in the woods of New England, hiking the trails, riding horses, and climbing trees.

When DeMarco was struck with Lyme disease, she found herself barely able to complete a sentence. Her writing began as therapy and quickly grew to a passion. Today she seeks to infuse her work with a sense of small-town community, along with plenty of laughter and, most of all, a sense of finding one's strength, overcoming odds, and following dreams.

From the first page, Finding Gracie takes you on a ride filled with quirky characters and twists and turns. Nancy DeMarco has a way of putting you right in the middle of the story and making you feel as if you're right there with Gracie, trying to figure out what's happening. Hard to put down.
