Overview

Charlie Long never could stand bullies, and sticking up for their victims has cost him more than once. A few years ago, in college? It cost him a place on the football team. And then just this morning? It cost him his job. But now, snatching this scrawny, scared little kid from those two goons in the alley behind the Billy Goat Tavern? This time he’s really stepped off into the deep end...and the pool stretches from Russia to Rio, from the mansions of Lake Forest to the huts of the Amazon Basin. What will it cost Charlie Long to try to save Paulo?
