About the Author

I just published my fourth collection of horror stories with surprise endings, Scary Stories: A Collection of Horror - Volume 1. This book has only ten selections, but the majority are much longer stories than in the other books. I truly believe some of my best work is in this collection. Hopefully, my readers will agree.

My third compilation of mostly horror stories with surprise endings, "Don't Look Behind You", has been a best seller on Amazon in the categories short stories, horror, horror stories, scary stories, horror collection, and horror story collections. Thanks to everyone who helped make it my most successful offering.

In order to satisfy requests from readers who enjoy thrills and chills, but not as much horror, I compiled "Thrillers & Chillers" from my first two compilations, "Black As Night" and "Shivers and otheer Nightmares." Afterward, I created another compilation of the remaining, most gruesome stories from the first two books entitled "In Your Face Horror". All are available on in paperback and kindle.

My web site,, includes sample stories from all four collections. I am about a third of the way through my fifth book, which I will probably title, Scary Stories-Volume II.

Since reviews are the life's blood of every author, I would greatly appreciate a review of any of my books on

Stephen KIng is my favorite horror writer, and I admires what King has accomplished in the horror genre in terms of movies made from his considerable volume of work. I am a Stephen King wannabe and hope to overtake KIng in total books sold before Hell freezes over. It will be an uphill climb.

My Coffeesmoke channel on You Tube has amassed over 1,129,000 hits, mostly from my "Dead Celebrities" videos

I love movies and had seen over 1,500 by the age of 13 when there was snow on 13 channels after midnight.

My favorite horror movies are Halloween, Night of the Living Dead, and the Evil Dead. My favorite movie of all time Is Frank Capra's It's A Wonderful Life with James Stewart. My favorite authors are Stephen King, Ray Bradbury, Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, John Sandford, Michael Connelly, Robert B. Parker , Clive Cussler, James Patterson, Jeffery Deaver, Dean Koontz, Edgar Allen Poe, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, James Lee Burke and Richard Matheson.
