Scats and Tracks of the Rocky Mountains (Second Edition) based on 0 ratings. 2 reviews.
I have and give this book to very one I know who hikes and backpacks in Colorado. The simple track drawings are true and the different patterns of tracks very useful. The scat drawings are also true. Any one who spends lots of time in the high country knows environmental conditions must be taken into consideration when identifying tracks and scat. I love this book!
This book is a waste of $10. It is made up of pencil drawings (A photo or two, would have been nice) and not that good of drawings either. The illustrator obviously has never seen bear scat. Several of his track drawings leave a lot to be desired. I would like to recommend this pocket guide but, I suggest you keep it in your pocket.
