Scattered Ashes (Shattered Promises, #4) by Jessica Sorensen

My name is Gemma Lucas and my life’s a wreck. Alex, the guy I just might be falling in love with, and the father of my unborn child, left me. Not to mention if I do admit I’m in love with him, it could potentially kill us both. My father’s trapped in his own mind and my mom’s working for the dark side.

Oh, and did I mention I was being haunted by the ghost of Nicholas, the annoying half-faerie, half Foreseer who won’t leave me alone.

The world has entered apocalyptic mode; fires in the streets, mad chaos. Everyday more vampires, witches, and fey get marked by evil. Innocent humans are dying. And I’m the only one who can stop it, which sounds easy, but I have to die in order to save everyone. And I have to let Alex die as well, something I’m not so certain I can do.

**Mature Content Warning** 17+ for language and sexual content. (this is a re-imagining of my Young Adult Paranormal book, The Promise (Book 4 in the Fallen Star Series) told as a New Adult Paranormal)

I feel like I waited forever for this novel to be released & now that it has I can say without a doubt I wasn't disappointed! I can't believe this series has finally come to an end, I am saddened by this but as they say all good things must come to an end. And I must say what an end it was, I just love happy endings. Thank you Jessica for your novels, please continue writing.

I am really excited to have read it but I thought more could have been done to the ending. It picked up right where the last one left off and I loved it but as I said I think she could have not ended it as abruptly as she did I would have liked a little more closer on some things and people. But I don't want to spoil anything just know it's a great continuation of the series but I was disappointed in the ending!! I understand she has several books she's working on but I think this last one of this series was rushed at the ending and it felt like she just wanted to be done with it or something. I'm not quite sure on how to word it other than what I just said with out sounding rude. I do recommend this series just not the ending lol. Happy reading hopefully it won't bother as many of you as much it did me!

This was an awesome series. Every bit of good as the YA version. But this book was the best one. We got to know the characters even better and see the different sides of them even deeper. By the end, I was crying. Wish there was a few more in this series.
