4.5 Stars I really enjoyed this one. I'm a big fan of Dallas. He has his cocky football womanizing ways, but once he meets Paige his life will never be the same. I like how he wants to be a better man for Paige. He notices the little things that others may overlook. I liked Paige. She has her quirks, but she's so delightful. Paige and Dallas' first meeting is quite memorable and that's when I knew I was going to love this book. The characters were engaging and it was so hard to put this book down. What couldn't be better a librarian and a football star. I loved all the book references. It was one of my favorite parts of the book.

I haven’t read any of Marquita Valentine’s books before, the cover on this one, namely the model’s super sexy, dreamy eyes dream me in. The description of Dallas Drake fits this guy to a T, not always the case with some books. Dallas is the sexiest of sexy football players and just oozes confidence and skill. When he meets Paige, he’s captivated not just by her stunning looks, but her ‘sparkliness’. LOL His obvious ogling gets Paige’s back up, even though she’d just done the same and Dallas knew that. He didn’t call her out on it. He’s happy she doesn’t know who he is, and can maybe be himself for a chance, then Paige’s work colleague let’s the cat out of the bag. He doesn’t let that deter him, even though Paige makes it plain football isn’t her thing. I loved this guy right from the start, his true nature shone off the page from the very first line. It’s so obvious he enjoys helping others, even though he offered his help to Paige as an excuse to talk to her and invite her to go out with him. Paige wants to say yes but her older, ‘wiser’ sister’s warning from when she was in high school, to stay away from athletes, has her saying no. Her decision is reinforced when Paige finds out her big sister works for Dallas’s football team. Dallas takes her rejection in his stride, but he’s not one for giving up and uses whatever excuse he can find to make things happen. He can be the hero she thinks she needs. But Paige isn’t the easy lay he’s used to bedding. She makes him work for it, and for that I loved this smart, feisty woman. She’s more than able to stand up for herself and as their relationship continues she keeps him on his toes all the way to the end. And that ending? Gosh, I just loved it!!! Don’t wait for the last play, grab your copy before time-out!!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This story is a brand new series and I beyond LOVED it. I cannot wait for more in this series. This story stars Dallas Drake, a hotshot sports star and football player and one day his PR person, Finely sends him to the local library to see if the venue would work for an event he is planning. That is how he sees Paige for the first time. Paige and her bestie, Layton work at the library and the second Dallas sees Paige he falls hard. But remember the PR person, well that is Paige's sister, her OLDER sister Finley who brought her up and who she promised she would never date a sports star. Meanwhile Dallas has this really bad rep but he wants his teamates Aiden's help with a rookie and so Aiden agrees to help if Dallas agrees to get a nice girl to date him exclusively. He decides that is Paige and so he tells Paige the truth and she agrees to quietly date him as long as Finley does not find out. This story is HOT!! Beyond HOT!! and Dallas well he is super sweet and he and Paige are super cute together. I really fell hard for these two and while I am not a fan of the secret romance. Here the romance was only a secret from the media and Finley. Everyone else knew.

Oh, my!!! Can I have a Dallas Drake in my life? What a fantastic story this was. Paige is absolutely adorable, from her quirky personality to her absolute disinterest in all things sports related. And Dallas, OMG!!! He has just enough of that bad boy thing going on (without REALLY being one) to make a girl swoon!!! The banter between these two is positively flammable!!! I know this book is a complete standalone, but I am completely convinced that fans of Marquita Valentine will definitely want more. I know I do!!! And whether you have read her books before or not, this is a definite must read, IMO!!!

Oh my goodness! This is such a refreshing and witty book I couldn't put it down. Dallas Drake is a star in the NFL but when he meets Paige Owens, a librarian, he is done for. Done with other women and done with his wild ways. It doesn't matter that Paige wants to keep things secret, he will play by her rules. Paige is busy helping her friend with wedding plans and to take over as event planner for the library so having a secret boyfriend takes a lot of work. It was a lot of fun watching these two fall and the witty banter and flirting was joyous and kept a smile on my face while reading. I definitely recommend this one! **Received this ARC for review**

LOVED this book! Dallas is sexy, funny, and most definitely swoon worthy charming. Paige is sweet, smart, and over her head when it comes to trying to resist Dallas. Working together on a charity function to be held at the library where Paige works has them spending a lot of time together. Their witty banter and Dallas' unyielding determination make for one enjoyable story that everyone should read. You'll fall in love with these characters as fast as I did!

Dallas is an incorrigible flirt with a winning streak on the field. His personality is big, but his heart is even bigger. The perpetual playboy has depths that not many get to see. Paige is the only thing that stands in the way of his carefully crafted image. The one person he lets in to his deepest thoughts and most painful secrets. She makes him a better man. Too bad he had to screw it all up. Ms. Valentine makes a touchdown with Scored. The appeal lies in the tale itself. Love, loss and mistakes are subjects everyone can relate to. By adding the delectable humor, Ms. Martin gave a larger than life character a vulnerability that humanized him.
