Overview

Scoring Mr. Romeo (The Mr. Wrong Series, #3) by A. M. Madden, Joanne Schwehm

Here’s a tip: never underestimate romance.

Falling in love was the furthest thing from my mind. I’m a single mother raising a strong little boy, and he is my one and only priority.

The universe felt otherwise, sending me―actually, my son’s soccer ball―hurdling toward a stunningly handsome, perfect man, who said all the right things. He made it hard to ignore how much I missed romance.

In the past, when I met a man, they ran as soon as they heard I was a widow with a child. Not this guy. No, he fell in love with my son, and in turn, my son fell in love with him. But, it was hard to believe he felt the same about me. My job was to be the strong one―to protect our hearts from sweet dreams that never lasted.

~~~
Women told me I was a master of romance. They were right. I knew how to sweep a woman off her feet, to make her feel special, and good in all the right places. I wasn’t a saint. I’ve had my share of one-night stands. They served their purpose, giving me a steady diet of romance without the hassle of commitment.
Then one day at the park, a soccer ball came careening toward my head, and my life changed in an instant. I never imagined that true love would come in the form of a five-year-old little boy. And then I got to know his mother: She was strong, independent, drop-dead gorgeous, and someone I desired - I just needed to prove it to her.
She called me Mr. Romeo, and that was fine with me.
Lesson learned: Love always trumps everything.
Omg I’m in love and he happens to be a hot blooded sexy Italian called Luca...This book is the perfect love story, it has the perfect man who is romantic, sweet, caring and hot. This book left me not only swooning over Luca Benedetto it left me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, these two authors have taken romance to another level and Scoring Mr Romeo is a must read book. Luca knew right from the start that Sabrina and Mickey were a package deal and he wouldn’t have it any other way but that only leaves Sabrina thinking is he too good to be true, it’s now up to Mr Romeo to convince her otherwise. I’m finding it hard to explain just how wonderful this book is, I don’t have any words that haven’t already been said about this book and this writing duo so all I’m going to say is do yourself a favour and one click Scoring Mr Romeo you will not be disappointed.
Tempt Me is book 2 in the Bodyguard Bad Boys Series but is easily stand alone. Mia Atwood is nanny to single dad Austin Rhodes little girl Bailey. Bailey is an absolute sweetheart. To me, there is just something about a kid being in a story that pulls me that much more into the book. Austin is the type of guy that I admire most. His daughter is #1 in his life. He doesn't even seem to date. This is definitely not the typical nanny/dad romance. Their relationship is strictly professional. Though we get glimpses that they are attracted to each other. Mia's past threatens her present and she tries to leave to protect Bailey/Austin. Austin refuses to let her go. He works for Alpha Security and draws Mia under his protection. I love the intrigue and suspense that this story has. There was a couple times in the story that I was holding my breath waiting the outcome and there was several times that my heart was melting with the interactions between Mia and Bailey. So sweet. And wouldn't you know it, that crazy ex shows back up in the picture too trying to rob them of happiness. Through all the ups and downs Austin and Mia's relationship gets stronger. There is some intense heat. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and was so thrilled with their HEA
A.M. Madden is one of my favorite authors and this series she is writing with Joanne Schwehm is so much fun. But to be honest, I think this one is my all time favorite from the series. There is just something about Luca that makes him irresistible. And the story line in itself is incredible. It is filled with romance, laughter, heartbreak, scorching hotness and an adorable little boy that will simply melt your heart. While I was reading the first two books in the series, I've always thought that Luca and Cassie will end up together. So I was a little bit disappointed when the authors went into a different direction. But once I started reading Scoring Mr. Romeo, it was just so obvious that Sabrina and Luca are meant to be. Well, to be honest, my first thought was that it was Luca and Mikey who were meant to be :D It was obvious from there very first meet when Mikey left his green and blue handprints on Luca's khaki trousers framing his package beautifully :D And the second meet was even better but I will leave that for you to find out :D The relationship between Luca and Sabrina is definitely not an easy one. Though Luca is a droolworthy dominant alpha ready to take charge when necessary and be the perfect romantic when the occasion calls for it, he still does mistakes from time to time. Unfortunately, those mistakes trigger Sabrina's insecurities as a single mother and a widow. Though she survived the heartache and betrayal, the scars left behind have not healed completely and that makes her question the possibility for a new beginning and a new HEA with one incredible man. which of course leads to more heartbreak. So be prepared. As a whole, I really loved the story. Luca is definitely a BBF that I can dream about and Mikey is just so adorable :) And it doesn't hurt that Sabrina is a strong woman, trying to overcome her insecurities and fight her way to her HEA with the one man who makes her feel alive and loved. I think it is the best conclusion to the series. Though I hope the authors will tell the stories of the rest of the friends. My priority is definitely Cassie and Dante. I am pretty sure that one is going to be a blast :)
I loved both of the previous books in the Wrong series. Finding Mr. Wrong and Taming Mr. Flirt started the story of three best friends finding love where they were least expecting it. Jude and Kyle met their matches already and now it’s the turn of the last man standing, Luca Benedetto. Luca works with Jude and although he’s a romantic at heart, he hadn’t met the right woman, that was until the day a young boy smacked into him with paint covered hands. That’s when Luca first sets eyes on Sabrina Callahan, the widowed mother of Mikey. Sabrina is beyond mortified by her son’s accidental actions and tries to help, but it only ends in more embarrassment. She never expects to see the gorgeous piece of hot Italian again, never mind have her son accidentally assault him once more. This time with a ball! It would seem this pairing is doomed for failure, but Luca is captivated, not just by Sabrina’s kindness and her beauty, but with her son too. He’s inexplicably drawn to both of them. This story was a joy to read as it unfolded chapter by chapter. It was fast-paced but never felt rushed or forced. I loved Mikey’s addition to the story, he was cute and adorable. Sabrina’s best friend Becky is well played too, and it was great catching up with Kyle, Vanessa, Cassie, Jude and Brae. But, Luca, OMG Luca. I just freaking loved him and how he handled Sabrina’s worries over their relationship. Not that it was without a few blips along the way. But, he knew what he wanted… He just had to convince his girl. This was a dreamy confection of swoon worthy love and devotion, hot steamy sex and family connections but also had a hard edge of past betrayals bleeding into the here and now. If you’re looking for a heart-warming, aww-filled story, then look no further and just grab your copy today.
4.5 - 5.0 Oh, Luca. He is Mr. Romeo. Men like him only exist in books. Luca meets Sabrina and her adorable son through his best friend, Cassie. Even though Sabrina’s husband has been out of her life for a while, she’s leery about bringing a man around her son. Is Luca ready for a relationship built-in family? Is Sabrina ready to love and trust again? You will need to read this book and find out. Scoring Mr. Romeo was sweet, sexy and swoon-worthy! If this book and Luca book don’t melt your heart, I’m not sure what will. One-click worthy.
This story was absolutely amazing, filled with so many wonderful friendships, funny banter and so much love!! Luca Benedetto, be still my beating heart! What a man! When Sabrina catches his eye in some rather quirky moments needless to say he pulls out all the stops! Who wouldn’t want a man like him appreciating you the way he can, so romantic, so incredibly caring that you cannot help fall in love with him! Sabrina and Mikey have had a bit of a rough time the past year and are coping the best way they know how but adding Luca to the mix, can Sabrina find her heart again or will sadness and disappointment prevail! This was a book I just couldn’t put down! I thoroughly enjoyed the whole storyline that captivated me to no end! An absolute must read and to the authors that wrote it? Huge round of applause please!
This is the third book in the Mr. Wrong series and it just keeps getting better, if that’s even possible! I was hooked from the first page and blew through it never wanting it to end! I loved the story of a single mom that was a widow finding love with a beautiful, sexy Italian man that loved her 5-year-old son first. He was so good with him. Not only was it a beautiful love story but it was funny! This book! Luca is all that a book boyfriend could be and just what Sabrina needed. He is sweet, attentive, sexy, romantic in ways that just made me melt and he whispers in Italian, now that’s seduction! The biggest thing that touched me the most is that he fell in love with the little boy first. He always had that little mans well being placed first. I know I said that before, but it bears repeating. He is a wonderful family man, loyal friend and sexy as hell. Enough said. The man is a keeper I don’t want to give anything away about the story as the synopsis does a great job of setting up the story. The reader should go in with the promise of a great feels, sigh inducing read and it certainly did that for me. I highly recommend this romantic, great feels love story. I promise you will fall in love with the characters as much as I did, especially Luca! These authors outdid themselves with this one!
A.M. Madden and Joanne Schwehm delivered one seriously romantic new book boyfriend with Luca in Scoring Mr. Romeo! From the moment I met him in Finding Mr. Wrong, I knew I would get swept away by Luca. Madden and Schwehm didn’t disappoint and, I quickly fell under this Italian’s spell. To be honest, this book caught me off guard, heading in a direction I definitely hadn’t predicted, but the authors kept me invested and quickly proved why Luca, Sabrina, and Mikey made the perfect family. I adored Sabrina and her son, Mikey. There is no one more fierce or protective than a single mom and Sabrina was all that and so much more. I appreciated the raw emotion and genuine hesitancy that the heroine displayed, her dating decisions revolving around her son, first and foremost. Madden and Schwehm did a great job capturing the special bond between Sabrina and Mikey, and it was their incredible love for one another that struck me with this story. I also enjoyed Sabrina’s relationships with Cassie and Becky. These friendships allowed her to let loose and gave the reader a glimpse of Sabrina’s lighter, more carefree side. Luca, on the other hand, was every bit the swoon-worthy hero I expected and then some. His patience with Sabrina and total understanding of always coming second in her life made my heart flutter, only for him to turn around and leave me hot and bothered a few pages later. He was very much an old-school romantic, and it was fun to see how he altered his plans to include Mikey. I definitely would have liked to explore this character more on a personal level. The authors didn’t unravel his past, motivations, etc. as thoroughly as they did with their previous heroes so, while Luca was undeniably sweet and delightfully sexy, I didn’t connect with him as I’d hoped. Scoring Mr. Romeo had a very different vibe from the first two books from Madden and Schwehm. While Finding Mr. Wrong and Taming Mr. Flirt were very much romantic comedies, this book felt heavier. There was still a sprinkle of humor amidst all the romance and sizzle, but the single mom aspect raised the emotional stakes. Madden and Schwehm continue to demonstrate themselves to be a formidable writing team, their voices combining to create something memorable and overflowing with feels. Luca and Sabrina’s journey served up plenty of great banter, lots of melt-your-heart romance, a rollercoaster of emotions, and just the right amount of steam. Scoring Mr. Romeo is another memorable love story from A.M. Madden and Joanne Schwehm!
Oh Luca!!!! I have been looking forward to Luca’s book and Ms. Madden and Ms. Schwehm did not disappoint! Luca was first introduced in Finding Mr. Wrong (Jude’s book) and then again in Taming Mr. Flirt (Kyle’s book), I was so excited when I found out he was getting his own story. He is a HOT Italian who, OMG! Is such a romantic!!!! Every girls dream guy!!! Sabrina is a single mom to an adorable little boy, who by the way helps his mom out ; but, Sabrina has been disillusioned with life and relationships. Can Luca help her see life with new eyes or will she be too scared to take a chance? Go #oneclick Scoring Mr. Romeo....and of course #oneclick Finding Mr. Wrong and Taming Mr. Flirt. A slow burn romance that left me breathless, wanting to swoon, and it was sexy and sweet and utterly beautiful! This is EXACTLY the kind of romance I crave. It has everything I enjoy about a GREAT romance: Fantastic characters, wonderful dialogue, perfect banter, just the right amount of humor and soul reaching sex that was so hot it nearly left me scorched. Scoring Mr. Romeo was EVERYTHING I imagined and MORE! I fell for this sexy hero. His accent, his charm, his sweetness, his slight arrogance and his kindness left me wanting him with a fierceness that left my heart wishing he was real. I FREAKING ADORED HIM! And the heroine...I love a good heroine who is independent who also happens to be a single mother and who treats everyone around her with such respect and who is so nice. These two characters were completely unforgettable as well as this story! Scoring Mr. Romeo gets a HEART MELTING AND SEXILICIOUS FIVE SHOOTING STARS!
Scoring Mr. Romeo is by far THE best in this series. A.M. Madden and Joanne Schwehm have certainly found their rhythm as they beautifully crafted a book boyfriend in Luca Benedetto who is clearly the epitome of romantic. Believe me when I tell you: this man has it all going on and then some. He's not like his best buds Jude and Kyle. He doesn't need snark or a quick wit to win a woman over. On the contrary, Luca is all about the slow seduction, the craving to figure out exactly what a woman needs and how to make her feel adored. It doesn't get much better than that!! Oh my goodness. To be cherished by Luca is something extraordinary. And never in a million years did Sabrina Callahan ever expect to feel like that from any man. This single mom of the whirlwind named Mikey was truly thrown for a loop when she meets the dashing yet humble Italian dreamboat by accident at her son's school. And as their worlds seemingly collide over and over again, it became apparent that both Sabrina and Luca might just have a magic together neither even knew they wanted. Scoring Mr. Romeo is a slow-burn romance like no other. The journey Luca and Sabrina take to try and meld their lives is never easy but it is oh so worth each twist and turn. They have a great support system in Cassie and Becky and the bits of brevity thrown in from the foursome that is Jude, Kyle, Brae and especially that crazy broad Vanessa make this book complete. There is such love between all of them and I really adored watching as they took Sabrina into their group and made her feel welcome. But it's the swoonworthy actions of Luca that brought me to my knees over and over again. Sabrina knows what she has and despite some reservations because of a former marriage gone bad, she knows a good man when she sees him. Luca is charm personified. Not only he is considerate, sweet and tender but mamma mia, the man is off the rails sexy. I honestly don't think I'll recover from the 'Luca effect' any time soon. And trust me, no one would blame me. Scoring Mr. Romeo is a must read. A book that will melt your heart and leave you in a big puddle of love. 5 huge stars!!
I was given a copy of this book by the author. Jude de Luca is my favorite of the three Mr. Wrong male characters.  He's serious about everything in his life - work, family, finding the right woman.  Though he's not really looking for Mrs. Right.  That is until a soccer ball knocks him upside the head.  Literally.   Sabrina is a single mother of a five year old boy (Mikey).  She's had a rough go of it as a single mom but is learning how to do a two person job as one.  She has her parents close by to help if need be, thankfully.  Her son, Mikey, is learning to play soccer.  Ok - so he might need some extra lessons on how to kick the ball straight instead of sideways into the stands - but it's a game he's quite interested in.  Said ball ends up hitting the sexiest man she's ever seen. As you can surmise these two have a push and pull relationship.  Jude wants all of Sabrina and she's not willing to give it.  My heart just ached for him most of the book.  He's just so sweet and endearing.  Sometimes you just wanted to smack her but she has good reasons as to why she's holding back.   The writing is seamless.  These two authors write beautifully together and their "Romeo and Juliet" story has a much better ending than the Shakespeare version. HA!  Definitely add this one to your list.  I hope you love it!
If you have been keeping up with the Mr. Wrong series, then you will remember that we met Luca in Finding Mr. Wrong and then again in Taming Mr. Flirt, now the hot, sexy Italian has his own book. Scoring Mr. Romeo is the story of Luca Benedetto, aka Mr. Romeo, Sabrina Callahan, and a cute as a button five year old named Mikey, who just happens to be the reason that Luca and Sabrina meet. Luca is perfection, all wrapped up in a very nice tidy package. The man has it all, he is handsome, sexy, sweet, smart, lovable, and he put the R in romance. This guy will have you swooning, I mean he is definitely a hearts and flowers kind of man, and he doesn't care who knows it. A.M. Madden and Joanne Schwehm really sent this one to the center of the goal, it has all the feels, and even as romantic as it is you will need to keep the tissues close by, one part is particularly heartbreaking, I mean ugly tears kind of heartbreaking. I think this is the best book of the series so far, and I cannot wait to see what comes next. If you love romance then you have to read this book, it is the most romantic book that I have read in a long time. Be forewarned there is no way to not fall in love with Luca!!!
