I could not get through this this book. Typical college student crushing on the handsome football star. Is she worthy of his notice - never mind love?

5 SLOW-BURN STARS!! A beautiful slow-burn romance story. This story is full of angst, fun banter, sexy times, drama and fantastic characters. We met Natalia and Luke in the first book, The Darkest Hour which was phenomenal too. I could not wait to read Natalia and Luke's story, they were so opposite of each other, but their chemistry was off the charts. S.M. Soto's writing is flawless and what a storyteller she is, you will never want her books to end. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

5 humorist stars Review by Elizabeth Late Night Reviewer for Up All Night w/ Books Blog Scoring the Quarterback is an awesome standalone by SM Soto. Get ready to laugh, cry, scream, and get downright mad. Natalia is furiously independent woman who only sticks close to her best friends. She meets Luke when she goes to pick up her witchy sister from a frat party. You would think sparks would fly right? In this case, it was their smart mouths. Natalia does not want to be attracted to Luke but she is. Luke on the other hand is an arrogant football player that writes Natalia off because of her crazy half-sister. Also because he only sees her a friend. Very entertaining story. Everything that a NA romance lover wants.

I’ve always loved a good college football romance, but S.M. Soto has taken that to a whole new level with Scoring The Quarterback! This enemies to lovers, slow burn, with just the right amount of angst to keep your heart pounding read had me hooked right from the start. I devoured this in one sitting. You couldn’t have pulled me away if you tried. Delving deeper than just nerdy girl meets football star, Scoring The Quarterback packs is full of real emotion with characters that work their way right into your heart. Natalia is the kind of character you just want to wrap up in a big hug. I quickly found myself rooting for her to find real happiness. Her heartbreaking childhood combined with her kind heart make her one of the most wonderful people I’ve ever read. Overcoming what would break most, Natalia puts all of herself into being the best she can. Luke is her complete opposite. Cocky, player, and at the top of his game he comes off as at stereotypical jock at first. It’s not long before theses two are more frenemies than enemies, and that’s when you begin to see there’s much more to Luke than meets the eye. The sparks were immediate between these two, but they took their time building up to that next level. It made for a romance that keeps you on the edge of your seat!

I lalalalaaahhhved this book! This was my first book by this author, I didn't realize there was a book one until after I received this arc. Needless to say, after I finished this, I went back to find book one, and one-clicked...bonus, it was free! I would've bought it regardless, because this book was just amazing. Okay back to Luke and Natalia... This book is one of those slow burns. You keep waiting for the two main characters to finally just go for it. Natalia is this, beautiful, fiery, smart, sweet girl, with a smart mouth to boot. She catches the eye of Luke, the man on campus everyone wants to know. Of course, he'd never admit it, so when they end up having a class together, they form a friendship of sorts. Seriously, the banter between the two is laugh out loud hilarious. Some of the situations Nat finds herself in are just facepalm moments and then dying of laughter. I definitely found myself cracking up quite a few times while reading this. Luke, was an a$$, with smart remarks, that were certifiably hilarious. You can't help not liking the d-bag. I love that when he's with Nat, there's more than meets the eye with him. Though this book had me cracking up plenty, it was also a roller coaster of emotions. I found myself angry at a couple people during this book and in tears, and super pissed too. I was extremely pissed with Luke. I was ready to chuck my kindle, thinking what the actual effyouseekay?!! I mean come the eff on! Of course, when I learn the truth, I'm still mad at him, but it lessens and he redeems himself. Still a crap situation, but I was so happy when I was starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel for the two most stubborn people ever! It took them awhile to actually come to their senses, but when they did, whew! HAWTT! And then... Luke was an idiot. Haha, okay, I'm still a little mad at him, but I really loved their story and was so happy with the outcome. Since I one clicked book one, I'll most definitely be reading about Aliza and Chase. Also, I can't wait for Sam and Alex. Sam was freaking hilarious. Some of the stuff that came out of her mouth had me laughing so hard, she was awesome. Definitely a firecracker, but I know she has a good story and I'm really excited to read about it! Found a new author to stalk and a new series to love! So so good! Can't wait to read more by this author! #B2BKristina
