Compassion leads to passion as they find the possibility of a life together neither one planned, or ever dreamed could exist. But Patrick must follow the calling his buddy Ryan had started. He knows his destiny is on Ryan's SEAL Team.

As he goes through BUD/S and begins his first deployment, will Patrick's decision destroy their love? Will her heart be able to survive a second loss?

I won a copy of this book from the author, I was not required to give a favorable review. What a beautiful story of friendship, commitment and love. Patrick, Ryan & Stephanie grew up together and were all best friends. They graduated and continued on in their lives, Ryan & Stephanie fell and love and had plans to be married. He joined the Navy and became a SEAL. Patrick followed his love of soccer and went on to play professionally. Stephanie became a teacher. But then Ryan is killed on a mission and it brings Patrick & Stephanie back to each other. He wants to join the SEAL's and leave soccer. Can he and Stephanie make it.

This should've come with a kleenex warning. After reeling from the loss of a loved one, Patrick and Stephanie turn to each other for comfort and a relationship neither one of them saw coming, develops. However, when Patrick pursues the same path that got Ryan killed, there's a question of not only will he survive, but will their relationship? A great addition to the SEAL Brotherhood series, but my heart needs a few days to recover from this one!

Hang on for a roller coaster ride of a love story!! I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. The book starts with Patrick on tour with his soccer team being interviewed by the only female reporter allowed in the locker rooms. After the game, they have a one nighter together, but the next morning Patrick starts to realize that not only are quick hook-ups not that satisfying, but neither is the game. He still Liked playing the game, he no longer felt proud and fulfilled playing it. He then starts thinking about his best friend, Ryan, who had become a SEAL and who had also gotten the girl they both loved. Patrick sees Ryan as a true hero and patriot, while he sees himself as someone just playing a game for money. Then during the next game, Patrick gets a phone call that will change his life forever. Ryan is killed on a mission and Patrick must return home for the funeral of his best friend. Patrick goes to be with Ryan's parents and to support Ryan's fiance (the secret love of Patrick's). After the funeral, Stephanie and Patrick reconnect and he finally admits his love for her. Patrick also connects with some of the SEALs that come to the funeral and he soon realizes that this is what his life has been missing. The love of his life and the challenge and testimony of being a Navy SEAL. I hope you enjoy reading the book to find out if Patrick finally finds what he feels has been lacking in himself- love and patriotism. See if he and Stephanie can make a life for themselves. See if Patrick can survive the training to become a SEAL and if Stephanie can survive loving another SEAL with the possibility of losing this one, too. As I said at the start, it is a roller coaster ride to a possible HEA ending.

This story is about Patrick, Stephanie and Ryan who grew up together and after high school Patrick went on to be an all star soccer player over seas while Stephanie and Ryan started to make a life together. She’s a preschool teacher and Ryan became a Seal. When Ryan is killed in action, Patrick comes home for the funeral and his feelings from long ago for Stephanie resurface. Patrick has been evaluating his life and decides to try out for the Seals and make Stephanie an offer she can’t refuse. Can Patrick show Stephanie that Ryan would want her to move on and be happy but her life would always be as a Seal’s wife?

This is one emotional SEAL romance! ⚓️ Patrick and Ryan had been best friends since they were little kids. Then one day in school, they met Stephanie and became the three musketeers. There was only one small problem with their group... Patrick had fallen in love with Stephanie at his first glance of her but thought she liked Ryan more. So he did the only thing a best friend could do and that was to hide his feelings, take a few steps back, and support them as they fell in love. But when tragedy strikes and he's faced with his feelings again, Patrick has to decide what to do. ❤️️❤️️ I was crying and laughing right along with Patrick and Stephanie. It's a second chance story with heat. I received a free copy of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Patrick Harrington, goal keeper with the Tottenham Soccer Squad receives devastating news that his best friend, Navy SEAL Ryan Rosen, has been killed in action. Patrick leaves his soccer team to attend Ryan’s funeral and is reunited with Ryan’s fiancée and close friend, Stephanie Carter. Stephanie is overwhelmed by Ryan’s death and seeks comfort from their best friend Patrick. Over time, Patrick and Stephanie will lean on each other to deal with their grief. Patrick has always admired the passion Ryan had for serving his country and realizes that there must be more to life, for him, than soccer. He decides to give up his lucrative soccer career and put all of his effort to becoming a Navy SEAL. As he and Stephanie become closer, will they be able to find love? Will Patrick’s decision to join the SEALs harm his chances with Stephanie? Will Patrick be able to survive the very rigorous training needed to attain the rank of SEAL? A very emotional and uplifting story about two characters whose lives have been changed and who have grown together in love. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to give an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

Just as Patrick is beginning to feel he needs to change his life around, his best friend Ryan, a Navy SEAL, is killed. When Patrick goes back home, he reconnects with Stephanie, Ryan’s fiancé, the 3rd member of their childhood triad and Patrick’s first love. He also connects with some of Ryan’s SEAL team members and realizes this is his true calling. Just as he and Stephanie reach out to each other to explore a new beginning together, will Patrick’s decisions tear them apart? As Stephanie struggles with those decisions, is she strong enough to risk losing her heart all over again? This is a moving tale of second chance love. The story will tug at your heart strings, and I challenge anyone to read through the funeral scene without crying. Patrick and Stephanie’s romance is full of emotions, drama and steamy passion. You will be drawn into their lives from the start and kept engaged until the very end. I highly recommend this wonderful addition to the world of the SEAL Brotherhood.
