All of my reviews of Melissa Foster tend to start out the same way by now. I love her! Can’t get enough and like I have told her I hope she NEVER stops writing EVER. If I need a great story or a pick me up, I know that I can pick one of her books up and be fulfilled. Seaside Hearts is yet just another epic story in this ongoing series by Melissa Foster that I have been reviewing. The story of Jenna and Pete is absolutely adorable. Jenna is completely smitten and so when she gets around Pete she certainly doesn’t act like she has herself together. I can relate to feeling this way over my beau right now. You are speechless and clumsy when you really feel for someone. I loved that Jenna’s character was one that could be related to by readers everywhere. Jenna and her friends made me snicker because of the way that they acted together. Best friends at its finest. Mother relationships are a whole other ballgame and everything seemed a little too perfect for Jenna, so the author giving this small amount of chaos was welcomed. Pete’s character was one that will make you sing in your head a little tune that you wished he would jump right off the pages. He is a great guy and even though he was timid in his personality, his outbursts of fun made the book even more enticing. Side Note: The dirty talking didn’t hurt either by him. Just saying. And if it couldn’t get any more cute, enter a puppy named Joey. Rescue animals tug at my heart and so the fact that is what this animal was made my heart melt. This series has been amazing and every book has been said to be the best. I think that means that the author just knows what she is doing. So, KUDOS Melissa Foster. Love you! Love your books! Can’t wait for more. I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

The story / series is fun / easy / a little trashy; but enough enjoyment to keep me reading. An escape from all the terror and horror we see in daily news that leaves you feeling as if tbere is no hope. I'll get more serious in my reading selections soon - maybe after November 2016. Thanks for this brief escape. I am getting tired though of the phrase "hooking finger in shorts or pocket or wasteband or belt loop"..; I mean for as ofen as this phrase is used in the 1st 2 series -really?, how often is that done?, maybe only in the author's imagination.

Seaside Dreams is book #25 in the Love in Bloom series and is book #2 in the Seaside Summer series but can be read as a standalone. Jenna Ward has lusted after Pete for years to a point that she becomes a mental zombie when he is around. This summer Jenna is determined to get over her feelings for Pete, encouraged by her best friends she hooks a hot and handsome guy who should make her pant with desire but no somehow Pete keeps showing up and the world fades. Pete Lacroux a fierce protector of his family and caregiver for his alcoholic father has the world on his shoulders. He is loyal to a fault, always ready to lend a hand and has finally noticed Jena’s full on beauty and firecracker personality just when she appears to have lost interest in him. Is he too late? How could he be so blind to how he felt? What does he have to offer a woman like Jenna with all of the baggage he carries? I can’t wait to see what happens with the rest of the Seaside gang. **CONTENT WARNING: Due to mature content, recommended for readers aged 18+**

Ah, the Love in Bloom series keeps getting better and better, and as a summer romance lover, the Seaside Summer series is definitely my favorite! In book two of the series, we get to know spunky Jenna much better, and learn that she's got a surprisingly shy side to her as well. Especially around Peter, the hunky pool boy she's been crushing on forever. But Pete's so much more than a pool boy; his love of boats and his passion for restoring them are topped only by his love and devotion to his family. It takes a while for Jenna and Pete to stop skirting around each other, each totally misunderstanding each other's signals, and finally find the love they've both been looking for. But when they do, it is sealed forever. But their love must endear family problems on both sides, as Jenna deals with her mother's crazy mid-life crisis, and Pete deals with his father's fall-out from his mother's death. What follows is an even more beautiful love story as the two find strength and comfort in each other, and deal with their family issues together. I fall more and more in love with these characters with each new book I read. I would love to set up shop at a Seaside cottage, and hang out with them everyday!

If you have read the series so far you will remember Jenna from  Leanna and Kurt’s story but Seaside Hearts  is all about her. Jenna has liked Pete for years but Pete hasn’t given any indication that he likes her in that way. he problem is Pete does like her but he has other things he needs to focus on, like  caring for his alcoholic dad, and keeping it quiet, it is quite a job in itself. Summer is here and Jenna is fed up with waiting for Pete and decides after lots of encouragement from her friends to hook up with someone else. She does that but Pete is always there in her mind. And this summer Pete finally shows an interest, will it be too late though as  a lot of Summers have gone past with nothing. This is the typical will they, won’t they scenario but when they do it is hot, hot, hot. I have been a faithful follower of Melissa Foster’s Love in Bloom series, although the stories are predictable they still capture me completely. Yes I know they will get their HEA but the bits in between are so varied you would never guess what will happen.  I really don’t know where Ms Foster gets her ideas from and so quickly too as she is bringing a new addition to the series in no time. Another fantastic addition to the Love in Bloom series.

Melissa Foster proved time and time again that she is an author to contend with and Seaside Hearts is no different. This is a story of unconditional love, healing and forgiveness. It’s funny, entertaining, emotional and gut wrenching ad it will keep you into the wee hours of the morning. Seaside Hearts is number 22 in the Love in Bloom series and just like the other books it can be read as a standalone. This a great addition to the series. It tells the story of Jenna and Peter. These two have been friends for some time now, however, Jenna was hoping that they would move beyond friendship. Jenna has loved Pete for quite a while, but he has always kept her in the friend zone. She became tired of waiting for him to acknowledge her as more than a friend so she decided to make him jealous by dating a construction worker. What followed as a result is a series of entertaining and humourous events. The characters were well developed. These are persons who are faced with real life issues to which readers can relate. I like Jenna’s fiestiness and sassy attitude, however, this all disappears whenever she is in Peter’s presence. It’s easy to understand why she would be tongue tied and nervous around the guy she has been crushing for the longest while. This is something that most have us gone through at some point in our lives. What I didn’t like though was in her bid to make Peter jealous she was using another man. This poor guy had no clue that she is in love with someone else. Peter was faced with the dilemma of giving in to his feelings for Jenna and dealing with the personal/family issues he felt was not conducive to long term relationship. He finally convinced himself that he was not about to let those issues get in the way of his happiness. I am really glad he made that decision. These two are good together. The sexual chemistry is off the charts. It is obvious that Peter cared for Jenna even with her quirks which some may find strange. There was a time I began to feel irritated with them both. I just could not fathom why they would not admit their feelings and quit the game of trying to make each other jealous. I enjoyed this story and I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Favourite quote, Peter to Jenna “It’s okay Jenna. I can see this is hard for you. Take your time” He lowered his lips until they brushed her ear and whispered, “One day it’ll be my name coming off your lips as you fall apart, and I promise you, after that, when you forget how to talk, it’ll be worth every erotic, sensual second”. I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

Jenna and Pete made my heart melt! Poor Jenna has been worked over by a previous boyfriend and is dealing with major midlife crisis issues with her Mom. Pete is dealing with some serious issues with his Dad.  Jenna and Pete have been friends for as long as they can remember. Jenna had always had a longing for Pete, but could never seem to catch his eye. Enter in a hot and sexy construction worker to fuel Pete's desire for Jenna! This is where the drama begins. Can love over come all? Will Jenna fall for the construction worker or will true unfulfilled love reign stronger than lust? You've got to grab a copy! This is the perfect story to distract you from all the holiday stress! Relax a little and get lost with Pete and Jenna instead of your once a year family at Thanksgiving!

Seaside Hearts by Melissa Foster is an exciting Contemporary Romance. #2 in "Love in Bloom: Seaside Summers" series, but can be read as a stand alone. Filled with lust, romance, laughter, and love, you can't go wrong with "Seaside Hearts". This is a hot, steamy romance with adult situations, flawed characters, who are enduring and complicated to say the least. If you enjoy laughter, as well as lust, you have to meet Jenna Ward and Pete Lacroux. With grief, adversity, finding happiness and longing for love, Ms. Foster has written tale that is realistic, and will steal your heart. Well done! Oh, did I mention, the hot, hot sensuality, well let me tell you, you will need a fan. An enjoyable as well as satisfying read. A must read for any contemporary romance reader as well as any one who enjoys a wonderful tale of love and all it entails. *Received for an honest review from the publisher* Rating: 4.5 Heat rating: Hot Reviewed by: AprilR, courtesy of My Book Addiction and More

Friendship with a whole lot of laughter in this refreshing read by Foster! Jenna and Peter’s is a classic tale of girl likes boy who has no clue. Foster does well at depicting challenges faced by down to earth characters with hot and steamy scenes that keep you riveted throughout the entire story. Life keeps moving even when you aren’t, so live it to the fullest and you won’t regret a second is one lesson I learned with this read. Just when I think that this will be another cookie cutter romance, Foster adds her own unexpected twists to the storyline keeping me consistently interested which is one of the reasons I enjoy Melissa as an author. The creativity and imaginings of this story only add to this series while enhancing the appeal to many. Looking forward to continuing with the series and experiencing the romance with future characters.

I don't know how Melissa Foster does it. Everything she writes, including this book, always draws me in. I couldn't put the book down. In fact, I've learned to not start one of her books unless I know that I can devote enough time to read the whole thing. Once you get started, you won't be able to put Seaside Hearts down. Her books are so real, and really delve into what people think and feel. You know those things that you think in your head and don't really voice or I guess it could be just be me. It is so funny because this book reminded me so much of me and my husband. I practically had to hit him over the head to let him know that I liked him. It is always difficult when you are friends and start having more feelings for your friend. You don't want to lose their friendship if they don't feel the same as you. Melissa does a wonderful job of portraying this and also dealing with some of the difficulties that people face with their families. Believe me, you will love this book and all of Melissa Foster's books. While this book is part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone book. However, this book is for mature audiences due to some of the adult situations. It is hot and steamy and will leave you wanting for more. Beware, though, her books are addictive. I give this book 5 stars. I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

I am really enjoying this series. It is hot and steamy and I think it is always good to get lost in a book like that. It gets my imagination going. I really like that Jenna and Pete were introduced in the first book of the series. It is fun to get to know characters better and get into their lives. It was neat to see Bella and Caden from Seaside Dreams in this book too. I like when authors really mesh the books together like that. In the beginning of the book I was getting a little mad though. They were both so blind and that is so frustrating. I was happy when the veil was taken away and they both could see how hot they were for one another. I absolutely can not get enough of Melissa Foster's books! I am really looking forward to the next one.

Jenna drove me absolutely bananas in the beginning! However, Pete also drove me crazy lol. I wish they would have just stopped playing each other along earlier & stopped trying to make each other jealous. Finally when they did sparks FLEW! I have really enjoyed all of the Seaside books so far. Melissa Foster knows how to make the reader get sucked into a book! This book is so  incredibly steamy! Think of the hottest pepper out there – yeah, this book has THAT much heat in it! Jenna has lusted after Pete for years, and unbeknownst to her, he has also lusted after her. Don’t curl up to read this book with a blanket, because you most likely won’t need one! It’s that hot!

Seaside Hearts, an addition to the Love in Bloom series brings  Jenna and Pete.   Jenna is my kind of gal, confident, spontaneous she can handle pretty much anything thrown at her, unless it happens to be the man she's crushed over for years. It also doesn't help that whenever he's around she seems to lose all her spunk and courage. After years of failed attempts to get his attention she calls it quits and makes up her mind to set her eyes on other targets. Little did she know it fired up a light under Pete .  Pete Lacroux is pretty much the perfect guy any girl wants, he's got it all and women drop jaws as he heads through towns, but he wants non of it. The eldest of five, a trouble weighing him down he always does the right thing. There's no time for a relationship, so he doesn't put much effort into it. What he does have time for though is his long time friend, Jenna who is a welcome distraction- that is up until he finds out she's dating some other guy.  Pete can't stand the idea nor the sight of her with another man and just thinking about it has brought feelings flame to the surface that he never knew were hidden away all this time. There is no way he will walk away from her but will Jenna be able to handle the not so shy and quiet Pete? Is he too late for a chance with her? You'll have to read to find out!  Seaside Hearts was a wonderful read. Lighthearted, funny, hot as all her books are but this one had me smiling throughout the whole thing. I loved the main characters, enjoyed how Jenna was this confidence woman yet not so much around the one man she wanted so badly. It made it easy to connect with the book and made it to my favorite list.    I would recommend any of Fosters' books. Each are stand alone but I highly recommend picking up a whole series, check the links below to find check them out.

Great read! Ever liked someone so much that you couldn't get one semi-coherent word out when they were around? If so, you will definitely relate to Jenna's dilemma when it comes to Pete Lacroux. For years she's wanted to move from friend to more, but gets über tongue tied when he's around. Jenna has made up her mind that she's over Pete (yeah, right!) but will be focusing her attentions elsewhere and using the summer as a break from her mother - who's become very clingy and embarrassingly over-the-top sexy since divorcing Jenna's father. Pete has his hands filled with his father who has always been a drinker but since the death of Pete's mother has gotten scarily worse. A relationship is far from his mind as he's taken on the role of care taker and guardsmen to keep his father's drinking a secret from their town. Following the love story of Jenna and Pete is entertaining and endearing - as the two come to terms with their roles in their respective parent's lives as they adjust to being single after years of marriage. As usual. Melissa Foster's novels have an underlying message and way of reminding us just how important the bond family and friendship is - even our darkest and lowest hours the love of those closest to us can save us and help bring us through. This was a great read during my summer travels and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series!

I always know what the outcome of Melissa’s books will be. There is no element of surprise to what is going to happen. There is, however, surprise in the journey and how exactly it will end. Each journey I have read in any of Melissa’s series books (The Bradens, The Remingtons, The Seaside Series) all have their own unique journey that make you fall in love with the characters and their romance. Each has their own ending too. Some of gotten engaged. Some end in just a relationship. It varies. Seaside Hearts like all other Melissa Foster books I have read, was pure bliss. I had a hunch that it was Jenna and Pete’s turn at romance and even though the book hinted that it may not happen, you knew in the end they would get together. Their story though? Their journey? Unlike any other romance journey before and it was one that put a permanent smile on your face! I highly recommend any of Melissa’s books. Seaside Hearts like the others in the series, can be read alone, but is much more enjoyable when read with the others in the series so you can fully enjoy each of their stories and backgrounds.

Jenna has had a crush on Pete Lacroux for as long as she’s known him. Living alongside her three best friends at the Seaside Cottages for the past five summers has been heaven, but now that two of them are engaged, she is ready to experience a soul mate relationship like theirs. Since Pete cannot see her as more than a friend, Jenna decides that this is the summer to forget him and move on. What she doesn’t know is that Pete has wanted her for as long as she has wanted him. All it takes is a handsome, hunky construction guy to catch Jenna’s eye for Pete’s jealous side to start showing. Is it too late for him to show Jenna how much he really does care?  You just have to love all the antics of the seaside girls. I want to be a part of that friendship so  badly. I loved all the back and forth innuendos but my nerves were raw by the time the first kiss finally happened. I think my knees buckled too.  And Vera’s pearls of wisdom were so on-spot, especially the one about every decade being wonderful. I can surely attest to that. Also, with the introduction to Pete’s family, I suspect Ms. Foster is setting us up for a future series about the hot Lacroux men. I say bring it on!

I'm not sure how Melissa Foster keeps doing it but with every Seaside story, she makes my heart swell, then makes me cry my eyes out, then makes my heart happy again! In Seaside Hearts, Jenna Ward and Peter Lacroux have been friends for a very long time. I loved this back story! The relationship took it's time, but you have to wait for LOVE to be ready. You get to learn about Jenna and Pete's friendship in the other Seaside books, but they got their turn here in Seaside Hearts. I feel like Seaside Hearts is more than just a love story. While you follow Pete and Jenna's journey into each other's arms, their parents are going through some majorly tough times. Saving lives and connecting hearts. That is what Seaside Hearts is about!

Jenna and Pete have been friends for years. She gets all quiet around the sexy hunk when she stays at the cottages during the summers spent with her friends in Wellfleet. She's wanted Pete for years, but this summer she's given up on Pete and looking for love somewhere else. Jenna is a feisty sweetheart, but can she put her feelings for Pete behind her? Pete, oh freaking Pete. He's may not be the guy Jenna thinks he is and a relationship between the two may not even be in the cards. He's got too much responsibility at home and what can he offer a girl like Jenna? Bring on the sweet, loving, and steamy romance that only Melissa Foster can give us. As with the other books in the Seaside series, this one also includes the girls from the other cottages, Leanna, Bella, and Amy. Leanna and Bella have found their true loves, but now Jenna wants her happily ever after. Seaside Hearts is another winner that includes witty banter, great friends, fun times and the right amount of angst. Did I mention sexy Pete? Yeah, you don't want to miss sexy Pete.
