Having read Will North's first two books, I was anxiously waiting for his new one, Seasons' End, and I was not disappointed.  Will weaves a story filled with interesting characters, and their lives, who spend their summers on an island in Pugent Sound.   He paints a beautiful picture with words.  This one is a bit darker than his first two, but still a story of passion, betrayal and love. I loved it and  am looking forward to his next book, a mystery.  Mr. North is fast becoming one of my favorite writers!  I highly recommend this book to anyone  who likes good story telling, in-depth characterizations, and wonderfully descriptive writing that  takes you away to new places.

I really enjoyed this book. I read it in one day as I found it difficult to put down. The setting is described so well I could almost see myself on the island and in England. Excellent characters that make you want to care about them. It is a book of love from afar, squandering of trust, and secrets in families. I believe this book would be enjoyed by readers who like a fast paced interesting story.

Enjoyed the setting not to mention the story plus all the charming Characters. Son in Army at Fort Lewis, Wash. we are from the south east. Visited Tacoma WA 5 times and fell in love.

The plot/story is fraught with so many diversions and so many characters, both of which have little relevance to the story. It seems like these are fluff to fill out the required pages to make this a novel, as opposed to a novella. There was appoint that I wanted to get out a piece of graph paper and attempt to trace the characters from the previous fourth generation of genealogy. But, it made no sense as to why I need to know that historical information, it was not pertinent to the story. I found myself skipping through pages and pages of historical family descriptions to get back on the topic.
