Three book collection on werewolves especially of the teenage variety. First book was engaging but definitely a teenage tale. The second and third books were contradictory to the first and had sections that repeated themselves over and over and dragged on - skip worthy paragraphs. So Kylie went from being able to control the wolf at the end of the first book to being a whacko for dramatic effect in the next books.

I dont usually like books about werewolves but glad I gave this series a try. Very good although I did think the climax of the last book could have been better.

This is a good series for a YA age group. We meet Rylie who is upset with her parents divorcing and is really showing she is young and somewhat entitled and no I am not her biggest fan from the start. Things change for her and we go thru her growth into the position at the end of the series. Now the series itself is filled with action and loads of chaos and mayhem. The story does shift from Rylie being in control and then out of control for various reasons and yes sometimes it is hard for these over used brain cells to follow at times but it really is a good read with a lot going on. I do however think this is better appreciated for the age group it is meant to reach and those that are young at heart enough to appreciate it. This is my first read by this author and I am happy to say that since I have acquired more of them I am glad she has style. I can't wait to see more of Rylie and the pack and more from this author.

This story takes me back to the days of original werewolf stories. I think there would have been that conflict between man and wolf, instead of the more modern tales of billionaire wolves living finding their mates and living happy ever after. I feel this tale gives a more realistic view of what a life with an animal inside you could be like. I ultimately decided I liked both versions, after all that is what reading is for me...an escape into another possible existence.

I couldn't put the first or second book down and the forth came back with that fire. The characters are all so distinct and lovable. I think Abel has to be my favorite. I can wait to start the Cain Chronicles next!

But needs better proof reading. I thought it was a fluke in the Acension Series, but obviosly not when it happens in SM Reine's other books; everyone reading wants to know what the heck i'm talking about. Well, it's the many times one name is used instead of the correct name, which makes us go back and double check who and where the other characters of book are........

Only a few spelling errors in each book. Interesting storyline. Characters were likeable...and hateable, when appropriate. Just right for teens.

I found this book simple but very good. It was diffrent than my ushall reads. Like it enough to buy the next. Im a family person, i like how the story weaves with family, willing to stick togeather thru the odds life tosssed them.
