Austin Gray was involved in a car accident where he had to watch his father die and barely escaped with horrible scars on his neck, chest, and back. Now the former quarter back of high school hides away from the public to prevent the stares he gets from his appearance. He also has violent visions. He gets spells where he will see people tortured and killed. The bad thing is this happens at any time, which is another reason why he doesn’t go out in public, and it seems that he cannot save anyone. The FBI and other agencies have been following Austin’s blog, Midnight Streaming. They have provided him with a new speaker and amplifier that will dictate what he sees in a vision immediately. The goal is to try and help some people. Austin decides that he is going to try and help people and quits fighting the visions. He finds it’s easier to navigate them and has less recovery. Austin witnesses a woman being kidnapped by some people with strange symbols on themselves. They discover a cult that is kidnapping people to fill human trafficking orders. But when Austin’s information is leaked, they start targeting him and his mother. I really liked this story. It was short but had great action. I felt for Austin but I was glad when he finally started to work with his gift/curse. The only thing that I didn’t like was you were left hanging when it came to the workings of the red stone. Beyond that, this was a great, quick read. I cannot wait to read more from Sydney Addae. This is one thriller that you don’t want to miss. I received this book for free from Book Rooster in exchange for an honest opinion.

Excellent story with nail biting twist. The story was well written with lots of turns. Human trafficking is a serious issue and the story deals with it seamlessly. The FBI needs all the help they can get, the occult angle adds to the mystery. Excellent read!

I'm always surprised to encounter the detailed character, scene and plot descriptions. Ms Addae is a true action writer. Thrilling, edge of your seat action that leaves you waiting for more.

love the books and very different from other paranormal romance novel. But I have trouble with the last three books where several chapters were black out. I am trying to find out why.
