Second Chance at Happiness was a really good read. I read it on my way to the beach and I liked the way the author set us up for the plot. I'll try to explain the book without giving away the good part. Three couples take a weekend trip to Atlanta to attend a concert. The story flashes back to how the couples have been best friends since attending a historically Black university. One of the couples started their marriage with a lie and the lie is revealed during this trip and it causes them all to get up during the night and drive home. They are driving a van and they have a wreck on the way home. Basically the book is about friendship and the aftermath of a tragedy and how the pieces of life can be picked up. I found the book inspirational, but there is enough sex it it to keep you turning the pages! I look forward to reading more from this new author.

This book is definitely a love story! I can see it as a drama on Lifetime or Oxygen. The scenes were very descriptive, I felt like I could imagine every room and location. It was an easy read, which is excellent, I didn't need to keep pulling out my dictionary to understand. I wanted to get to the end to see what happened so I read it in two days.
