Overview

Second Chances is a light, clean romance set against the backdrop of a marathon breast cancer fundraising event. Caoimhe (pronounced KEEV-a; it's an Irish name) is participating in her second event. Unable to complete the full forty miles the previous year, she is determined to do so the second time around. Every Saturday she trains on the streets in her neighborhood where she finds more than added stamina.
Ken is a veteran and a full-time EMT with the local fire department. To keep in shape, several members of the paramedic team ride bikes on their days off to stay in shape.
As their paths cross, will they each reach the second chance they long for?

Maureen Kay is a new author but a long-time participant in a variety of breast cancer fundraisers. As she clocked in over 1000 hours walking and training, she's heard numerous tales from those who have survived this disease as well as those who, like herself, are simply participating to make it go away.

Maureen lives full-time in a motor home in which she travels the country to visit family and friends.
