This book should be read by every Christian. It shames our American Christian comfort and ambivalence. It calls for a complete change of mind that renews our faith and returns it to what Christ called us to be in the beginning.

Excellent! Very moving, and smooth telling of the different characters' lives within a Muslim society. It talks about the struggles, the sacrifices, and how to be more Christ-like in our attitudes. Definitely was an enlightening read for me!

Great read. All names changed to protect the identities of the former Muslims who are now born again Christians. Eye opening and challenging.

"Secret Believers: What Happens When Muslims Believe in Christ" is made up of dramatic stories of the lives of Muslims who turn to faith in Jesus Christ. It tells of the struggles and difficulties that they face when they become followers of Christ. Even though Christian Muslims receive opposition from their families, countries, and governments when they abandon the faith of Islam they often share their newfound Christian faith with other Muslims who are longing to know more about the message of Jesus. The writing is Intensive and compelling. The multiple characters and difficult Muslim names sometimes become confusing making it hard to follow the plot as their stories appear throughout the narrative. Part 2 of the book includes some thoughts on how as Christians we can respond to the stories. An appendix includes "A Letter from the Afghan Persecuted Church of Christ" written to then President George W. Bush to alert the Western world of the plight of the persecuted church in Afghanistan. I found the selected bibliography helpful. "Secret Believers: What Happens When Muslims Believe in Christ" is a call to Christian believers to be reminded that we are in the midst of spiritual warfare and to recognize the need for committed prayer for our Christian brothers and sisters in Muslim countries, to intercede for the persecuted church, and to reach out in love to the individual Muslims in our personal world. This is important reading for every Christian.
