To the person who said that the Authors personal website says to use markers, you didn't read or understand it clearly. She suggest 4-5 types of coloring pens/pencils made by Staedler. I hope this won't prevent people from not buying this book, as it almost did me. I love it!

Each picture takes a good amount of time, but i am using glitter gel pens and every picture looks fabulous!!  It is a very cathartic was to pass time.  I had never heard of it before, but a friend was obsessed with these books and had to buy one, so I bought one for myself too, and I am so thrilled that I did.  After I bought this one, I even had to track down the Enchanted Forest!!

Having a great time with this coloring book! Have not reached some of the other fun stuff yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Using colored pencils and my completed pictures really make me smile. If you enjoying pictures of gardens and making pictures your own, you will definitely enjoy this book.

The designs in this book are beautiful and fun to color. Highly recommended for an adult needing to relax (like myself). It can take quite some time to complete a picture, so I see this book lasting me a very long time.

I do not plan to make it a habit to review coloring books, but I just couldn't help myself with this one. I love it that much! When you look at the cover, you cannot help but notice the amount of detail on it. It is filled to the brim with flowers, vines, leaves, etc. However, you may find yourself wondering "are the pages on the inside like what I see on this cover?" The answer is a very strong and profound YES!! Inside you will find many pages to help you relax. Each one is filled with a design consisting of flowers, leaves, animals, and other things one might expect to find in a garden. There are a lot of small details to the items on the page which will keep you pretty busy. Not only will you find things to color, but some of the pages have prompts for you. These include, but are not limited to, adding your own small designs to preexisting flowers, adding on to Johanna Basford's designs with your own drawings, and mazes. This coloring book has a lot for you to do. You will find hours of entertainment within just this one coloring book alone. It is sure to help you relax after a stressful day and help you feed your creative side. However, from what I can tell it is not exactly easy to get your hands on this one, or her other titled Enchanted Forest, from what I can tell. So, if you see one, I suggest you pick it up or you risk missing out! This is easily a 5 out of 5 star item! You can find more of my reviews here: http://readingwithcupcakes.blogspot.com/

I bought this "coloring book" (so much more than that!!) for my sister, who used to LOVE coloring. It was her favorite gift for her 60th birthday. She works on one of the beautiful, detailed pages whenever she has the time. If you know someone who enjoyed color books as a child, buy this! You'll be glad you did.

When a friend of mine posted about this book I knew that I have to have it. Even though it took almost 3 weeks for B&N to post it the book arrived yesterday and I couldn't be more happy . The papers are great quality, the drawing are beautiful and you really can get lost in this enchanted world of colors. I recommend to use pencils.

I saw this book advertised on the internet and I purchased a copy. The pictures to be colored are intricate, detailed and beautiful. However, after I'd started coloring the first page using fine-tipped markers, I noticed that the color was bleeding through to the next page, effectively ruining the next page. No where in the book is it indicated what specific coloring agents were to be used and when I looked online at the artist's site, markers were suggested as one agent to be used. Thus, I'm returning the book today. I'm so terribly disappointed because I was so excited initially about this book. If markers are not to be used, there should be some indication of same.

This is an awesome coloring book with a lot of really cool garden themes. The problem I am experiencing with it is that the pages are double-sided and are nearly impossible to remove the pages from the book without tearing the picture. I prefer to color a page outside the book as it is easier for me to rotate the page. I had to rip the binding apart to separate the pages. Please consider a book with perforated pages. Thanks!

This is just most beautiful and most amazing adult coloring book out there!!! I have both this and the second book, Enchanted Forest. I've given a few copies too to my friends and family as gifts and everybody loves it. The paper quality is really good! I use colored pencils, gel pens and Staedtler fine liners. There's no bleeding or any marking on the other pages.

I love this book! I was not disappointed! I recommend using the back page to use as a testing area for the coloring utensils you plan to use to see how they fare on bleeding through the page! I recommend soft core colored pencils or a range of small and large tipped markers.

This is such an amazing coloring book. I've used different mediums; soft pastels, color pencils, inktense pencils for water coloring, staedtlers and stabilo 88. The paper is of great quality and take on the colors very well! The inktense did not bleed through when activated. The only thing I didn't like were the pages where she asks you to draw.

Very nice coloring book. Interesting but common designs. Prismacolor pencils and watercolor markers worked well. Didn't bleed through. Three stars due to: One huge negative with this authors books are that the images are on both sides of each page of the book. This feature does not allow for framing both colored pages. Additional negative is that the book is bound with no perforation for easy removal of the pages. I don't know many people who color a page while it is inside the book.
