This book is a highly readable, very informative collection of facts and stories about our First Ladies. Chapters are just the right length, and full of the kinds of things readers themselves might ask these historical figures. Learn about Mamie Eisenhower's terrible health, Julia Dent Grant's crossed eyes, Ida McKinley's fainting fits and Eidth Bolling Galt Wilson's harrowing stint filling in for Woodrow after his stroke. Fun, educational, and it has great pictures! Impress your friends with your first-lady knowledge, and learn something along the way.

The book was written in a most creative & interesting way, along with it being informative. It is such an enjoyable book---It is one that you can pick up & refer to often. It was particularly Interesting to me because I remember many conversations about some of these 'First Ladies' and our Presidents when I was quite young----starting with Bess Truman & Mamie Eisenhower. There is an old saying "Behind every great man is a special woman"------most of the 'First Ladies' we're very impressive, in sometimes most difficult situations. I thought this book was 'wonderfully' done, & just sent as a gift to a friend several weeks ago, much to her delight.
