I'm not really sure if so many liked this book because they received it for free or because they were beta readers and decided to be nice to the author. This book wasn't all that great, it wasn't horrible, but it definitely wasn't a must read.
All the characters are flawed in one way or another. Every person in this book is over 25 but the book reads like a YA book. At times I felt like I was reading about a high school romance instead of an adult relationship with two grown people.
Also, the author mentions a bit of background information on some characters like we are supposed to know what the hell she's referring to. When the POV turns to Ric and Roberta, I had no clue what was going on. At one point I was so confused I had to stop reading and actually search the author's other works to see if there was a prior book to this one. Turns out, there is. Ric and Roberta have their own book but under a completely different series...that's where the confusion lies.
This books only saving grace is the kidnappers mysterious element and the sex. That's it.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
The overall story was a good idea, but the telling of the story seemed disjointed to me, and at times confusing, almost like this wasn't
the first book in the series. There were flashbacks that were mentioned at times that seemed like they were giving the reader a quick
jog of the memory on a past story, but I've not been able to determine if those characters indeed have their own story (Ric and his wife
and how they met for example). The end was a bit unbelievable, I can understand Katie's brother Ric jumping into action to help, but
I'm not sure if Dante knew about her all along and that's why he rushed to help, I only know that his helping is the setup for his own
story (book 2 in the series). And the ending, that was the reason for all that transpired in the story?
A quick, light read, but I more than likely won't finish up the series.

This book was written so terribly. The story line was unbelievable and the characters were shallow. I felt like the entire book was written by a child. I couldn't wait to finish, only because I hate starting a book and not finishing it. It was not sexy and not interesting. The language was immature and repetitive.

Okay for a diversion. Easy to scan and still get the whole story. Needs a basic proofreading and editing. Won't bother with this writer again.

The characters in this book are extremely childish. If I were running for my life, I would not stop at every turn to question the person keeping me alive. Real Women are not that stupid! I'm only a few chapters in and may not be able to finish. Glad it was free!

I was expecting something more from seeing the cover, and honestly it was just something to read.

It gets one star since I could not give it one half a star; but thanks to all of the great reviews this incredibly horrible book has managed to get a high sales figure. What happened to literature? Are people reading material for the sake of just reading words or do they actually know what they are reading and learned something by reading this book? A teacher would have flunked this author...

I was provided an ARC for an honest review.
I loved this story! I liked Katie's character in the last book and I was so sad for her when she disappeared after receiving the news that changes her life. I love that we weren't introduced to her best friend, Jason, until this book. He was such a good friend to her in this book. I love how their story develops after so many missed communications and missed cues! This series has sucked me in and I am so excited that Dante is getting a story.

I became totally confused a couple of times & had to go back & re-read parts to get some understanding of what or where this author meant to go, editing missed multiple bloopers, especially towards the end.

This was an OK read. there were some major flaws n the flow of the material. I think that if it was rewritten the plot and characters would be more in tuned.

It was a awesom ebook to read the anticipation, the suspense, everything wrapped in one book. Although they had the most kinkiest ways to start up sex :)
