About the Author

I can't remember a time when I didn't want to write. From the time I was learned enough to string sentences together I liked writing stories. In high school I was the literary editor of our school magazine Sketches and had a series of short stories that I'd written even then. I'm published with two wonderful publishers, World Castle and Solstice Publishing, and on my own as an Indie. I live in Florida with my two adult children and my husband of 30+ years. I have a wonderful dog named Snickers that can even open her own Christmas presents! (don't believe me? Look below) When I'm not working full time in the insurance industry, I write. I believe any writer should write because they love the craft. The rest will come in time. I hope you enjoy reading my stories as much as I've enjoyed writing them.

I would have given a better review but Daphne's character really got under my skin in this book. For the simple fact that she wasn't as supportive as Cameron in "Their Gifts". I am thankful that it was a free read and hate that I didn't enjoy this story more. Please keep in mind this is just my opinion ; while I hope that everyone still reads this story, I hope they use their own opinion to write a review .

A quick HEA story, about people who have different gifts. I found the book to be light entertainment. I liked the favt the herione was sort of a Dr. Doolittle. What I did not like was her reception to Cameron when he told her about his secret; especially since Cameron was accepting of her. I understood why there was this small friction in the dtory. Overall, it was a good story. Cameron's brothers: Logan, Deacon and Connor have their storis with Heidi, Suanne and Jeannie. Approximately 67 pgs.****vrnb***

For all the suspense, mystery, and bad things happening in the town of Spirit Rock. I found the book to be light-hearted. Possibly because while all the horrid things are happening, the characters survive without any traumatic scars. Yes, there are moments of freight, but there are also moments of hilarity, and the characters are fairly positive attitude. They’re fun. Cameron is sexy, and Daphne really gets herself into some interesting predicaments. The only downside, or things that bothered me with the story, were minor and didn’t keep me from thoroughly enjoying the book. Although I do wonder at the main culprits motives. They didn’t make sense to me, nor that the results expected, would be the ones obtained. Needless-to-say, we can put it down to the poacher being a bit crazy, and leave it at that. Plus I was never sure what happened to the second culprit. At least not for sure. Who knows, that might have been on purpose. A villain for another day. Overall the book was very well written and keep me happily reading. The characters were great, and I look forward to reading about the other brothers and their women. It should be a very exciting series.

This book was only 67 pages long. Felt a little rushed, maybe the next book won't be.

For the record—I’ve been a HUGE, HUGE fan of Kelly Abell for years and every single book she has written has been fabulous! So naturally, when Secrets of a Wolf came out, I jumped at the chance to read it! This is not Kelly’s usual genre and it is so nice to see she is expanding her talent! I don’t like to give spoilers so my review will not contain any. Instead, I like to focus on the writing itself. Kelly’s unique style of character interaction is impeccable. I love the way her characters conversations flow so naturally, without heavy expression or drawn out, unnecessary dialogue. The setting in which she places this story is wonderful! The Black Hills of South Dakota has always been shrouded in mystery and is known to be an enchanting and sacred place. The way Kelly paints the scenery and landscape with such precision is remarkable. Lots of showing—not telling, which I love, love, love. The characters themselves are strong and complement each other without dragging out the plot. The secondary characters are just as captivating, each one adding their own twist without overshadowing the main storyline. Too bad 5 stars is the highest rate on Amazon. As far as I’m concerned, this is another winner for Kelly Abell. If you want a great shape-shifter romance, pick up Secrets of a Wolf. You will NOT be disappointed!!

Loving Spirit Rock! Looking for a fresh start after a tragic event, Daphne moves to the town of Spirit Rock! This place has some very interesting individuals and she seems to fit right in. She has a wonderful gift... the ability to talk to animals! I loved the scenes with her and her dog! When she meets her new boss, there is an instant attraction! Passion, secrets, danger... I really had a great time reading this story! Wonderful characters and a great storyline made for an entertaining time! I look forward to seeing more in this series... wonder who will share their story next! *copy given in exchange for an honest review.

Angst, romance, a hot shapeshifting human/wolf. What more could you want? The romance is a lot of fun, the sex spicy, and the action dangerous. Secrets of a Wolf was a wonderful read and kept me glued to every page. Paranormal romance fans don't want to miss this.
