A Dark Shifter Alpha...
Dion, alpha of a clan of river shapeshifters, has had enough. The sun fae queen has seduced many of his best warriors, leaving them fit for little but fishing and drinking wine, and draining life-energy from all his clan in the process. Then comes the final straw-she works her wiles on his youngest brother. It's time to turn the tables on the shallow, pleasure-loving queen.
A Jaded Fae Queen...
Cleia's powerful glamour gets her any man she wants. But she's bored. She wants something more-and the river fada men have it. So when she meets the big, untamed river fada, she decides wants him, even though something in her warns this man is dangerous. She all but orders him to her bed.
That's just what Dion is counting on...

You’re mine. Mine for this night. Mine forever. 5 GOLDEN SUNS Oh. My. Lord. Cleia, I agree with you wholeheartedly!! What an OTTERLY FINTASTIC book!! This is one magically DOLPHINTASTIC start to this fascinating world of the Fada Shapeshifter series by Rebecca Rivard!! She has created this FAETASTIC world where numerous kinds of Fae, Shifters, Humans and more, all live, work, play, fight, love, hate & mate in. It is a well thought out world that is greatly detailed without being dry or boring. I felt like I was the one standing by the water, walking through Cleia’s palace grounds, living in the cave-like systems of Dion’s people, etc. The characters instantly grab your attention, begging to be liked & loved, or hated, depending which side of the good/bad scale they are on. I love that it is hard to tell which side the characters are on or if it is even that 'simple' and they are on one side only! I was enraptured from the product description, let alone from actually reading the book, and it is even better than I could have hoped for! I love ABSO-FAE-LUTELY everything about this book! It is a deep & enriched read, made even more so by the multi-dimensional characters, the perfectly described world, situations, characters, magics, histories of the different species, clans, families and the individual characters. You will find any & everything that you could ever want in a story - it is first in a series of many, it is a full-length novel (over 200 pgs on my tablet), it is loaded up with friendship, love, mates, hate, enemies, magic, powers, Shifters, Fae, adorable little ones, mysteries, evil plots, hot moments, ones to make you laugh and ones to make you cry and so much more!! I found myself living the story with the characters even before I knew if they were 'good' or 'bad', which didn’t even matter to me! In fact, I was even experiencing & living the story AS Cleia & Dion, pulling me even deeper into the story! Rebecca is one exceptionally talented author and while this is the first book of hers that I have read, she has me firmly caught in her net, captivating me to the point of obsession, so that all I could think about was this story, even long after I had finished it! In fact, I ended up reading it again because I just wasn't ready, I didn't want to, I COULDN’T let go of the beauty, magic & romance that gives this story such life and takes it from being “just a book to read” and turns it into one SUNDERFULLY FINTABULOUS adventure that I felt like I actually experienced and lived through myself! Yes, I truly was transported into the story, becoming the characters, feeling their pain, hope, panic, stress, worry and love. I credit this entire experience to the combination of Rebecca’s tremendous amount of talent and her genuine gift for crafting stories that touch & affect me wholly, utterly and completely, mind, body, spirit and soul!! All in all – This FAERRIFICALLY SHIFTACULAR book will hook you so fast that the next thing you know, you have completely lost touch with the “real” world and you are staring at those 2 little words that I hate so much – The End!! But the journey to get to there is soooooo very much worth losing sleep over! Yup! I did stay up ALL NIGHT reading & re-reading this book! And for the record, I enjoyed it even more the second time around!
Queen Cleia, of the Sun Fae, has slowly been weakening the Rock Run River fada. Angry and concerned for his people, Dion, captures Cleia to force her to stop and reverse the process. She claims to know nothing. What else could it be? Interesting paranormal romance. Took awhile for me to get into the story; things did come together and I enjoyed the read. Curious to read the rest of the series. Voluntarily read ARC for honest review.
