Set your heart on fire with SEDUCTION, the second album by flamenco guitarist Oscar Lopez. His fingers dance with the sparks of ancient gypsy souls, yet his arrangements are hip and nouveau cool. Crisp notes flurry from Lopez's guitar, and his music is carried by the hot swirls and pulses of movement; it's not hard to visualize the sway of hips, the swirl of skirts, the challenge of shoulders, and the embellishments of clapping hands. "Black Guitar" is a lush, galloping guitar-fest, while the sparkling "Meditteraneo" seems to grab stars by the handful. Lopez wails electric on "Aries de Ortros Mundos," backed by the mystical keyboards of Michael Simpson and electric bass of Brent Gubbels. The guitar harmonies and vocalise of "Vientos del Sur" are sighfully delicious. Lopez doesn't go "authentic" with live dancers, singers, and palmas, but he delivers plenty of hot and tasty moments.
