The beautiful land of Wales is filled with ancient stories, myths and legends. When Wendy Bloggs and her family take a short break from their home in the Midlands to visit her Welsh pen friend Samantha, she takes the opportunity to try and find out all about the Red Dragon on the Welsh flag. The two girls get on famously and have a fun and exciting time exploring Pembrokeshire and the ancient kingdom of Dyfed. They don't find a dragon, but the whole family fall in love with the country and, on returning home, Wendy produces a fantastic assignment that is the envy of her English classmates.
