This book is very user friendly and practical. The work of therapy is hard and can be expensive. I read this book and used the techniques to help me move myself through some issues that I wanted to overcome. If you are honest with yourself and naturally self-reflective this book does offer practical tools of therapy. It is certainly not a substitute for real psychiatric help for the clinically depressed or mentally ill.
