I didn't think Sara York could improve on the first book, but she outdid herself with this one. The start of the book has some great moments and funny parts, but the second half delves into a darker world of parents thinking try can literally beat the gay out of someone. While the book is light hearted at times, it definitely drives home a point regarding intolerance and unacceptance that still exists in today's society. I cannot wait to find out how this story unfolds in the next book.  I listened to the audiobook of this story. The narrator, Jason Frazier, hits it out of the park once again. His vocal presence adds a deep, human touch to the story, which only helps to drive the story's messages home. His ability to switch between characters while adding a layer of depth to their actions is incomparable and creates an experience you will not soon forget. After listening to most of his audiobook narrations, I am still amazed every time and listen in awe at his talent.

Sending Jack Off To Jesus (A Southern Thing #2) Stars 4.2 This book start off where the last one end. Was not into the whole torture camp but know this happens a lot as people believe that you can cure "gay". It's not a freaking disease and if people would just accept people for who they are the world would be a better place. Writing style was a lot better in this story and was able to feel the emotions of the boy better.
