I was assigned 'The Serpent Never Sleeps' for my Reading Class. My teacher hadn't really commented on it, so I wasn't too excited to read it. But never judge a book by it's cover. I started reading 'The Serpent Never Sleeps' the day that I picked it up. From then on, I couldn't put it down! Mr. O'Dell created a masterpiece with this book! I was immediately mesmerized by the fact that I felt I was there with Miss Serena Lynn. I was in the ship on the way to Virginia, I felt the rolling waves. I was there to experience the hunger of the colonists, and the loss of hope. This book is exciting and extremely realistic! It's a tale of adventure, love, and sadness, and I reccomend it to everyone!
