The author, Brother Bott, brings his experience as both a missionary in the Phillipenes, and as a mission president in California to this excellent book. When he came to teach 'Sharing the Gospel' at Brigham Young University, there was no course curriculumn. He was told to simply create a course that would teach missionaries what he wished they had known before their missions. Covering topics ranging from homesickness, to companion relationships, to budgeting, that is exactly what he pulls off in this excellent book. This is not just a good guide for those who are going on missions, it is also a treasure trove of information about myriad aspects of daily life. I would recommend that everyone read this before they go out on a mission - trust me... your companion will thank you.
