Overview

Los Angeles crime reporter Danny Kasho is working on the unsolved murders of two women when he gets a tip about a missing couple. The tip has one thing in common with his story, but to prove it Danny will have to jeopardize his career—and his life.

Ursula Ruda discovers a friend and fellow reporter is missing. Working with only a cryptic last text and a single clue to her location, Ursula follows her friend’s trail and finds a threat greater than anything she could have imagined.

From drought-stricken LA to the snowbound mountains of Northern California where a reclusive self-help guru is gathering his followers, Danny and Ursula chase separate tragedies that could dovetail with disaster.

Missed the first book and so I kind of felt lost for a while but I did pick it up. Loved the story and the suspense. I recommend this read but I suggest reading the first in the series prior to reading this. It may provide a better experience.
