Macrina Wiederkehr has given me a wonderful tool to put regular prayer into my life on a daily basis. I don't read everything everyday, but spending some time with this book as I journey through the day is very helpful for keeping me in a mindful mode. I expecially like the Psalm references, as they are a great point of meditation for me.

Although I do not consider myself a Christian, I was drawn to this book because of its approach to mindfulness. Wiederkehr's writing style is engaging and I appreciated her pulling from a variety of sources for the prayers included.

Was recommended this book by my spiritual director and am using it as a way to develop another form of contemplation throughout my day. I have really benefited from the writing she offers at the end of each chapter--prayers, poetry, liturgy, quotes--to support the theme of each pause during the day. It is quickly becoming one of my favorite resources in my personal and professional life.
