Lexi has been secretly infatuated with Austin since childhood, so finding out he's a Shifter just makes him sexier. Dammit.

Austin Cole has returned to the city where he grew up, and just in time. He's lived a hard life these past seven years, and the shadows of his past are threatening to destroy Lexi's family. It's time that she learned the truth about her brother, but there is a shocking twist that Austin never saw coming. Now he must protect her family when her mother and sister wind up in mortal danger. Will Lexi learn to accept the truth about who he is, and can Austin salvage a relationship from the ruins of their past?

Very sultry I love the way Dannika Dark can take you to the edge and bring you to the verge of exploding ecstasy and then carry on with the story til next scene. The story line is perfect. I cried several times reading this and could not put it down. I even thought about the characters in my sleep. Read this it is captivating, loyal friends, the sweetest kid sister, the most erotic man i have ever read about. And of course in the end you will get served the entire package with some exploding suprises.

Seven Years (Seven #1) by Dannika Dark 5 of 5 Stars Lexi Knight’s brother, Wes, died seven years ago in a tragic motorcycle accident.  Not only did she lose her brother back then, but she lost his best friend, Austin Cole.  He was like a member of the family and her childhood crush but after Wes’s death, he deserted them.   Austin Cole has secrets.  He’s a shifter and Wes demise wasn’t an accident.  Now on the seventh anniversary of Wes’s passing Austin is back, and he’s there to stay.   Dannika Dark did an incredible job with Seven Years the first book in the Seven series.  The flow of the book is perfect.  The characters are diverse and interesting.  The plot is fascinating and full of surprises. I was really happy to discover this is going to be a series.  I just did not get enough from one book. I want more.   Six Months  book 2 in the Seven Series cannot come fast enough. ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

Seven Years by Dannika Dark My rating: 4 of 5 stars Seven Years is a marvelous start to a fascinating new series by Dannika Dark. Complex characters that exude sexual chemistry and charm highlight this new and exciting world of Dark's imagination. Intriguing pack dynamics with plenty of hot alpha wolves you'll want to sink your teeth into, I mean the pages. Seven is a provocative new series, I look forward to Dark's next venture into this pack's world.

This was a surprising fun easy read that immediately had me hooked. I'm not sure how I stumbled upon this book but I'm glad I did and can't wait for the next one in this series. This book has definitely made me want to read more of what this author had to offer.

I loved how this book captivated you from the beginning until the end! Lexi is strong, loving and still suffering from her brother's death. She also lost Austin, her brothers best friend and Lexi's secret crush. What happens when Austin returns to her life? What secrets are revealed? What danger to they face and will Austin and his brothers be able to protect Lexi, her mother and her sister. I loved the personalities of the brothers and I can't wait for their stories. This book is filled with new discoveries, secrets, betrayal, danger and love! Must read it now! Don't miss out!

The sample hooked me in and i bought the book. Overall plot was good. But too many direction changes that didnt flow or make sense. Not enough exposition of characters' thoughts and feelings to keep reader involved. Got whiplash from all the times heroine would say she loved one guy but wait, you sound lime a good guy to date, no wait lets go here instead. It probably appenin real life but doesnt make easy reading. Hard to stay invested in characters andstory.

Another great book by Dannika Dark I love the Mageri series and was a bit worried that because I am such a big fan, and because this series is written in the same world, that it would seem like a filler, or a poor relation (lol) to the Mageri cast.  I need not have worried, Ms Dark has delivered a brilliant start to another great series I can get lost in. One of Dannika Dark’s strongest points – apart from a great imagination and her awesome writing skills, is her ability to create characters we can relate to. All the characters portrayed have been incredibly well thought out – each and every one of them.  They all have their strong points and their weaknesses or flaws which make them come alive in a way that makes me care about what happens to them all. I loved the story, the characters, the world they live in and the promise of things to come.  I did not want it to end, but it ended on a solid note – and I am extremely happy about that.    This is a great book, I loved it.

I liked this book. It was a good story. But it could of been so much better if the author didnt ramble and have to tell you every detail of what a room looked like or exactly what they were eating throughout the whole book. Also i didnt like that the one and only sex scene at the very end. In my opinion their first time should of been when she went into heat. It would of made for a better read. I think im going to try the next book in this series. I hope its a bit better than this one.

Awesome read!!   I loved this book so much that I didn't want it to ever end! I read Dannika Dark's Mageri Series and love how she can spin a story. You feel the character's emotions as they experience them. Wonderful read!

This is my newest favorite series. It's completely addictive. Lexi's world is about to get a lot bigger. There are many different kinds of shifters with many different kinds of personalities and a whole lot of alpha going on.

I had purchased this forever ago and didn’t remember what it was about.  But having it deal with the death of a brother was almost a deal breaker for me.  Thankfully I didn’t find it heartbreaking.  That is the only way I was able to continue.  It is weird that I would choose to listen to this now since this year will be the 7th year since my own brother passed.   Seven Years wasn’t a typical shifter book.  It started more like a contemporary romance and I honestly thought that was what it was.  It took a while before the shifter aspect was introduced.  Dark’s mythos is different than other authors.  The animal and the human share a body but are separate; when the wolf takes over the person doesn’t remember it unless they are an Alpha.  Essentially they become a wild animal when they shift.  In human form, their senses are that of humans and they can’t really sense other shifters.  This isn’t like most novels where they can scent each other.  There also aren’t fated mates (so far).  To me, this makes Dark’s characters more human and more relatable.  They don’t have superhuman powers, they just have something extra.  Seven Years reads like a contemporary romance with a kick of suspense and paranormal tossed in to make it super fun and exciting.   The suspenseful story was well thought out and I really like Lexi and Austin’s chemistry.  I wished Lexi didn’t cry at every turn, not of fan of that in female characters.  Despite that, I still really enjoyed the story and I have already purchased book 2.  I also loved Poole's narration.  I am giving this 4 Boundless stars I really enjoyed it.

Excellent book, everything i love but have a hard time finding. Its a full length novel that gives the characters and storylines time to develop. Baggage, history, action, love, supporting characters you cant wait to read more about....... loved it all! Definetly a cant put down, addicting start, to what i hope is a five star series.

My favorite series yet! Just finished reading the entire series and I am so sad its over. I loved each abd every character and how they were such a close family. Each character was so different and their personalities were perfect. After I finished each book I would think I couldn't love the next one more, but I was pjdro.ven wrong 7 times.ot

There's not much steam here and the whole book was sort of meh. It's well written and well thought out but I wasn't super attached to the characters. I hated all the talk about being in heat and I agree with Lexi, I don't appreciate them calling all the women b*tches (even when technically correct). While I'm curious as to what happens with all the other characters, I don't want to read any more of this series. There was too much drama throughout the whole thing. I mean, why does everyone need to get punched, shot, strangled, kidnapped, and/or killed? I also didn't like that their relationship was so 7th grade throughout the whole story. Does he like me? No, I bet he doesn't like me. I like her.... but I bet she doesn't like me. Why did he say that? Is it because he likes me? No, I bet he doesn't like me.
