Sex, Drugs, and a Lobster Roll is and irreverent, humor cookbook that teaches self awareness and the differences of others through satire and food. This book introduces a new, faux-religion called Fat-Bitchology, which empowers you to laugh at the "fat bitch" in all of us. It focuses on the fact that being a "Fat Bitch" is a state of mind, not a permanent, physical condition. This allows us, the author included, to accept yourself and others for the craziness that is in our lives. Melillo began to write this book after he became aware of the intimate connection between humor and food, then laughed at the "fat bitch moves" he performed (and still perform) on a daily basis. In a world full of recession, depression and hate, Melillo thinks it is important to talk about issues that America considers taboo while serving it with a little humor. In the book, he covers, homosexuality, obesity, religion, corporate greed, higher education, and the misrepresentation of the Italian- American family.
