5 Kiss Me CROWNS Based on the title and the synopsis, I had certain expectations when I opened this book, but let me tell you that it is nothing what I thought it would be. In fact, this story exceeded my expectations, and Sex, Not Love will be one of my favorite Vi Keeland books. Hunter is everything I love about a Vi Keeland hero. He is charismatic and oozes charm. Even when he is being cocky, he puts a smile on your face with his devilish and dirty comments. As the story progresses, readers get to see that there is more below the surface, and there are clearly ghosts from his past haunting him. The revelations about his past are not what I was expecting, but the characteristics provided a much needed layer to create complexity to his character. When this past detail is revealed, the motivation behind his decisions makes sense, and readers become even more sympathetic to his choices. I had so much respect for Natalia based on the decisions she makes in this novel. She constantly puts others ahead of herself, and I love that she takes in people who aren’t necessarily her responsibility. Her finally decision at the end of the novel, only solidified my original feelings towards her, making sure that I yearned for her to get her happy ending with Hunter. This story is a surprisingly slow burn. Even so, there is a lot of chemistry to keep readers engaged with their story. The conversations, the banter, and the flirty, dirty talk make the sexual tension authentic between them, and these two get to know each other before getting physical, making their love more believable. Vi Keeland makes this couple so likable that readers hearts will ache for the end of the eight weeks, and just like the characters, readers aren’t really sure why it is all happening. Her choice of conflict is not only perfect for story she created, but it also serves to develop the theme of loving and living to the max. Sex, Not Love will be one of my favorite Vi Keeland books. It is sexy and fun, but more than that is a story with heart and a real message about living and loving with all the time you are given.

This book was awesome. I laughed out loud and shed some tears while reading this book. I didn't want to put it down, once I started it. I loved the banter and the crassness of the characters. It's sex, not love or wait is it love, not sex?

I love all Vi's books, but this one was even more incredible. I love the banter between Nat and Hunter. Add in the steamy scenes and love and it was a masterpiece.

6 Hearts Sex, Not Love is Vi Keeland's newest masterpiece. I can't even express how in love with this book I am. It's perfection. It's my favorite book of hers and I'm not sure I'm ever going to recover from Hunter Delucia. I mean, seriously. He's Italian. He's sexy. He has a filthy mouth. He's sweet. And underneath the arrogant exterior is the man with a heart of gold. He says all the right things with sincerity. And when he set his sights on Natalia, he's not going to give up until she's his. Nat knows men like Hunter, or so she thinks. She deflects his advances by walking away, giving him the wrong number and just being unavailable. Until he decides he going to put himself in her space until she gives in. Poor Natalia. She never had a chance! She's been hurt before so she's not looking for long term, so being with Hunter might be just the thing she needs. Her body has wanted him since first sight, it's her head that's getting in the way. When she decides she can't say no anymore, it's on. Oh man, is it on! Can Hunter and Natalia really do sex, not love? What happens when their hearts want in on the action? I loved this book. So. Much. I. Can't. Even. Hunter is everything. Sexy, pushy, funny, sweet and dirty. Natalia is gorgeous, hilarious, also Italian :), and such a good mom. I loved all the secondary characters especially Izzy. She was so great! I laughed until I snorted, cried until tears were streaming down my face and have never been more relieved in my life. I quickly became attached to these characters and I'm already planning a re-read. Overall, it's my first 6 heart read of the year and I'm not sure if anything will top it!

Sex, Not Love by Vi Keeland is another fabulous, amazing, heart-wrenching, loving tale from one of my favorite authors. A standalone romance told in dual POV between the hot, dirty-talking, persistent Hunter Delucia and the beautiful, feisty, independent Natalia Rossi. Hunter has issues. Deep, dark, emotional issues. His character has depth, heat and passion. He aims all that charisma directly in Natalia's direction at the wedding of their mutual best friends. While the chemistry is there, so much so, they practically sizzle, she keeps him at a distance. Well, except for the few times they kiss and she starts to melt. He is determined to win her though, so much so when she gives him her phone number and it turns out to be her moms number, he ingratiates himself with the matriarch of the Rossi family and winds up at Sunday dinner. Natalia has been burned. Badly! Her ex-husband is in federal prison for a Ponzi scheme and she has full custody of her 15 year old stepdaughter. Leaving New York for California for her best friends wedding was a nice break from reality. Being passionately kissed by the best man? Mind blowing and a little bit frightening. The level of chemistry between them is something she is NOT looking for and backs away from, rapidly. The two of these characters together, just wow! Hunter is persistent in his pursuit of Nat but also in his need for it to just be about sex. Not love. But the best laid plans often go awry. They both fall for each other but still something is keeping them apart. Gah! Vi's books are ALWAYS romantic and HOT and amazing, and the underlying seriously emotional impacts that life can have on people and their relationships is something she doesn't shy away from and writes with such grace. I loved this! Enjoy!

The backstory was as gripping as Hunter and Nat's story. There were parts where I laughed out loud and parts where ctying was appropriate. I loved this book!

4.25 stars- SEX, NOT LOVE by Vi Keeland is a contemporary, adult, erotic romance story in the author’s Best Laid Plans series of novels. This is thirty year old architectural engineer Hunter Delucia, and twenty nine year old behavioral therapist Natalia Rossi’s story line. Told from dual first person perspectives-Natalia in the present, Hunter in the past- SEX, NOT LOVE follows the building relationship between Natalia Rossi, and Hunter Delucia who met several months earlier at a mutual friends’ wedding- Anna and Derek Weiner. The smooth but dirty talking Hunter Delucia was quickly shut down by our story line heroine. Fast forward seven months wherein a persistent Hunter would push himself back into Natalia’s life with the impending birth of their friends’ new arrival. What ensues is the much more than ‘friends with benefits’ relationship between Hunter and Natalia, a ‘sex, not love’ relationship with an expiry date, and a heroine who has fallen in love with a man whose secrets are destroying any chance at his own happily ever after. The relationship between Hunter and Natalia begins acrimoniously as our heroine refuses to fall for Hunter’s dirty talking attempts to flatter and flirt using sexual innuendo and outright, naughty suggestive ideas. Hunter Delucia doesn’t do relationships; in fact, his last long term relationship found our hero caught between family and love; betrayal and loss. Meeting Natalia Rossi throws Hunter for a loop but he steadfastly refuses to accept anything long term including the possibility of falling in love. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense but one again I have issues with the use of a certain four-letter word I feel is unnecessary in a romantic story line-of any genre type. We are introduced to Natalia and Hunter’s best friends Anna and Derek Weiner; Natalia’s step-daughter Izzy, and ex-husband Garrett Lockwood; an assortment of ‘dates’ for our story line heroine; Hunter’s older brother Jayce, and ex-girlfriend Summer. SEX, NOT LOVE is an emotional story line with a little bit of humor, fun, heartbreak and love. Hunter keeps secret a past shrouded in pain, remorse and devastating loss that affects his decision to never fall in love. The premise is energetic and captivating; the romance is passionate, provocative and intense; the characters are dynamic, spirited and playful. SEX, NOT LOVE is a engaging and lively look at one man who struggles with his past, present and future; and one woman who has fallen in love with a man who is unable to promise a happily ever after.

Hot alpha males are a dependable favorite in romance novels and oh boy is Hunter one decadently hot alpha you’ll completely fall in love with! With Sex, not Love, Vi Keeland authors a charming and touching novel with quick and witty banter, scorching sexy times, and exquisite angst. Oh! And swoon, let’s not forget the swoon. It follows Hunter Delucia, a charismatic and wealthy architect from California, and Natalia Rossi, a divorcee and behavioral therapist from NY who has sworn off relationships. Being part of their respective best friends’ wedding party, Nat and Hunter meet during the wedding’s rehearsal dinner where sparks immediately fly and although it wasn’t her intention, Nat ends up in Hunter’s hotel room. But when he asks her for her phone number she “accidentally” gives him a wrong one. Almost a year later they see each other again at the birth of their friends’ daughter; and when he asks for her digits once more, she gives him her mother’s number. Hunter is not a man to be trifled with. He takes a job in NY, charms the Rossi women and sneaks his way into Nat’s life. At least for the duration of his project in which time he proposes a no strings attached mutually satisfying fling. But what starts as Sex, not Love turns into much more. I just loved how Hunter pursued Nat in the most relentlessly charming, flirty, and dirty talking way. Even though neither wanted a relationship they were so right for each other that it was evident it was so much more than just sex right from the start. But both characters must confront their past traumas in order to look forward for a future together, at which point the angst ratchets up and I found myself frantically turning pages to get to my promised happy ending.

What a fantastic way to start your 2018 reading!! A book that brings you fun, laughter, tears and a male character to leave you weak at the knee’s!!! Natalia Rossi and Hunter Delucia first meet at the wedding of their mutual friends. Even though they have a mutual attraction, Nat has no intention of becoming involved with a hot playboy that lives thousands of miles apart. Months later they meet again at the baby shower for those same mutual friends. That hot steamy attraction is still just as vibrant. After giving Hunter her mothers telephone number to throw him off, Nat is stunned when he shows up at her mothers door. So he’s gonna be in town for 6 weeks right? What could possibly go wrong to an agreed arrangement of fulfilling their desires during that time. After all its only 6 weeks!! This book is romance at its best. It gives you the fun, the heart warming moments to melt you, and the tears to crush you.I loved the push pull of this couple. Even though neither wanted anything serious it was so obvious there was more to their feelings. Hunter Delucia left my heart in a puddle of mush and I loved Nat’s strength. Their relationships with friends and family just had me smiling to myself with a stupid grin. I couldn’t put it down. I both love and dread books like this a little, because seriously? You just don’t want them to end! I wanted to stay in Nat and Hunter’s bubble for as long as I possibly could !!

The heart knows what the heart desires. No amount of fake numbers and miles between two souls will deter love from embedding in one’s heart. In Vi Keeland’s newest standalone, I couldn’t get enough of Sex, Not Love. We are blessed with this #1 NY Times bestseller author’s talented words and a story that will have you escaping reality for hours. At a glance across the aisle at their friends wedding, an intense attraction pulls Natalia Rossi and Hunter Deluca together. Nat can spot a cocky, arrogant man and Hunter is a prime example of a sexy bad boy, but weddings are for hooking up and moving on, no strings… right? “A guy like him was the last thing I needed.” Hunter however, seemingly wants more and after countless times at playing hardball, he's in town for work and has her back against the door. He’s only asking for Sex, Not Love; what’s the harm? Hunter is one fine specimen! He was insanely hot and the way he pursued her was very attractive and possessive in a way. But when he opened his mouth to spout sinful words to Nat, I think the pages steamed and fanning myself wasn’t enough. “Okay… and we’d spend time together outside of the bedroom, too?” “Of course. I’ll always make sure you eat before I eat you.” Vi Keeland’s writing is flawless, providing a beautiful story laid out before you and two characters who are so right for each other, becoming more than just friends, makes this a great weekend read. She always keeps me coming back for more. I can’t wait to see what is next from Vi. 5 Stars

Love. This. Book. I feel like a broken record in my Vi reviews so I'm gonna keep it short (because, really, I can't elaborate on how spectacular this book is), but every single book of hers is pure gold. The story is enthralling, the characters are smart and realistic, the chemistry and sexual tension are off the charts, and I'm always dying to read her next book. This one had a couple of interesting elements in the form of a step-daughter and a mysterious event from the past, but I felt they added so much to the story. I just loved every word. If you like contemporary romances, or if you've never read one, or if you're looking for a new author to try, THIS is your book. (I received a copy of this book in consideration of an honest review)
