Overview

Shade's Lady (1001 Dark Nights Series Novella) by Joanna Wylde

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Joanna Wylde comes a new story in her Reapers MC series...

Looking back, none of this would've happened if I hadn't dropped my phone in the toilet. I mean, I could've walked away from him if I'd had it with me.
Or maybe not.
Maybe it was all over the first time he saw me, and he would've found another way. Probably--if there's one thing I've learned, it's that Shade always gets what he wants, and apparently he wanted me.
Right from the first.
Shade's Lady is a stand-alone story. There is no need to have read any prior Reapers MC stories to enjoy Shade's Lady.

**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it's an introduction to an author's world. And for fans, it's a bonus book in the author's series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

I was afraid a novella would be too short, but this felt like a full novel - very satisfying! Love all the Reaper series. They stay on my re-read list again and again.

This book is about Shade wanting Mandy. Mandy has issues with men in her life. She was working as a waitress after she got away from her ex. She moved in with her sister and family to help her but she keeps getting in to trouble. This book is worth reading and buying.

Save yourself the time and money. If I could give it a zero, I would. It is "rapey" in that our heroine says no multiple times which the hero ignores and "convinces " her to have sex with him. There is some sort of bizarre monologue from the herione's inner "Wonder Woman" ego? I had to skip a lot of that it was pretty pathetic.. No character development, even for a short story. Just awful really.

This has officially become my favorite book. The epilogue couldn't have been more perfect.

A slow burn, no pun intended. I adore the main characters. I do wish we'd had more positive time with them, without crazy lady. But the ending rescue is kick butt.
