#1 of The Pearl Series. (All books released.)

Documentary producer, Pearl Robinson, is a beautiful and smart forty year-old divorcee but has not had a date for over two years. When she hears about Alexandre Chevalier, a young French, Internet success story, she assumes he is a nerd. But when she bumps into him face to face, she's stunned by his charm, beauty and sophistication, and startled by her strong feelings and desire for a man fifteen years her junior.

Alexandre's looks, wealth and worldwide triumph with his social media site, HookedUp, means he can get any woman he chooses, but there is something about Pearl he finds irresistible...

The couple begins a passionate affair and Pearl's body is awakened in ways she never imagined possible. She is consumed by him and his magical touch. But secrets, jealous family members and other external forces are threatening to pull them apart.

I have read all 3 books of Arianne Richmonde and they were wonderfully written I have recommended to several people. We all believe she did better job than Fify Shades of Grey. We all appauld Arianne Richmonde, I have put her on my wish list and as soon as she writes another book I want to read it

Simply put, this is a story about a forty year old woman who falls in love with a twenty five year old man. The dynamics of their relationship evolves from "lust at first sight" to a real emotional connection. It made me want to read the other two books in the trilogy!

This was a wonderful read! Pearl (the heroine) has been through so much in this relationship with Alexandre ... who can she trust? Who is not lying? Who is really trying to hurt her? How can she get their relationship back on track? I loved how the author worked out the plot line. Must read 40 Shades of Pearl and Shadows of Pearl before attempting this book. Start early in the day... you will not want to put them down until the end. Stock up on snacks and drinks. You will not want to stop and cook! Arianne Richmonde, you do not disappoint your readers! Another hurrah for you!

The first book, Forty Shades of Pearl is a gret introduction to the protagonists Pearl and Alexandre, an unlikely couple as she is 15 years older. But Pearl is not your typical 40-year-old...she is very youthful, stunning although riddled with insecurities. I liked that, it made her more three dimensional than most romance heroines. Alexandre is French, and although a billionaire there is a good reason for him being one...he's a social media sensation (like Mark Zukerberg but sexy and sophisticated). Book 2 Shadows of Pearl is a roller coaster ride and book 3, Shadows of Pearl, continues that ride but wraps everything up very nicely. For anyone wondering if this a 50 Shades rip-off because of the Forty Shades title, no it isn't. There are plenty out there with 23-year-old virgins/over-possesive jealous males and this isn*t one of them. There is no BDSM them, either, and the writing style is light years away from 50. One thing they share in common is great sex and a fun sense of humor. Really loved this trilogy, you won't be dissappointed if you are looking for something original and very well written.

This book was so unrealistic it was laughable. There was nothing special about Pearl, yet a sexy, young, billionaire falls at her feet. Hilarious! And to those women that think its okay to be a cougar. You are sick. Find a real man. Stop messing up young guys lives.

Not a fan of this book. I usually know what I'm in for when I purchase an erotic romance, so my "suspension of disbelief" button is always on, but this book had me rolling my eyes more than not. The main character, Pearl, is supposed to be 40 and divorced but her inner monologue reads more like that of an 18 year old. I could barely stand to finish reading this book. Very glad it was offered for free. If Fifty is your "favorite" book ever, you might like this, otherwise don't bother.

GREAT BOOK! HOPE BOOK 2 AND 3 ARE AS WELL.

I was unexpectedly disappointed in this one. The main character is a 40 year old woman, but she thinks and behaves like an immature teenager. Also, although many romances involve a bit of suspension of belief on the part of the reader, this story was just ridiculous. The characters fall in love almost immediately. Would not recommend unless you get it for free and have time to waste.
