"Shadows Over Taralon" by Jacquelyn Webb had some romance with a little mystery. The novel was of a girl named Jenny Flemming who became a bookkeeper and caretaker of the children of Bill Williams after a car accident had killed his wife. Jenny liked her job and there seemed to be some strange interest in Bill's bother, Wayne Peterson. However, strange things had been happening at the Taralons. There had been some cattle stealing going on and now Jenny was now even suspected in the doping of Bill's horse, Pretty Boy. How will Jenny come out of all of this and will Wayne be at her side? One will have to read and find out! "Shadows Over Taralon" is was a good, fast and easy read. I think Jacquelyn Webb did a good job with this read and I did enjoy reading it.
I was really excited about reading this book from the overview but reading it I was completely confused. Was this set in England, Australia, or America? I was never sure the lingo was all over the place so I could never figure it out. The character's relationships with one another were unrealistic. For example what girl would let a guy she just met kiss her and pull her close to him especially when he clearly gave her the creeps. I couldn't finish reading it because I was so confused and disappointed.
