In this scorching Immortals After Dark/Dacian novel, #1 New York Times bestselling author Kresley Cole brings together a wicked vampire prince used to getting everything he desires and a demon warrior who always felt like an outcast.

Prince Mirceo Daciano and his new friend, Caspion the Tracker, comb the streets of Dacia, drunkenly seeking out pleasures of the flesh. In what should have been a typical night, they coax a bevy of nymphs to bed. To impress their females, the demon and the vampire kiss on a dare.

Once they finally break away from their soul-searing kiss, they find themselves alone—and shaken. Had they imagined their explosive chemistry? Obstacles—ranging from a death sentence to exile in a war-torn dimension—threaten to destroy their lives . . . and the vulnerable promise in that one kiss.

Even if Mirceo accepts Caspion as his fated mate, the seductive vampire still must convince the stubborn demon that their bond is forever. And any royal Dacian union must receive the blessing of King Lothaire, an unpredictable and savage killer. . . .

I love ALLL of Kresley Cole's books. However, this one seemed not only rushed but also lacking in detail. The reason i give 3 stars is that although the book's story was amazing as always, it was rushed and not complete. The trials the couple went through were so rushed the book felt almost boring and empty. Comparing this to Thronos and Melanthe's book or carrow and malcom is a joke. I was really excited that she was making a new type of romance novel as i am a fan of bl too but i am very disappointed in the lack of effort put into this novel. Considering the release date was even pushed back, i expected a lot more. I would buy it agsin just to further the series as i love it but hopefully her next book has a bit more effort put into it

This was an ok addition to the IAD series. I have read better M/ M romance novels but it was entertaining. Not a fan of the Prince.

Being an IAD junkie i automatically preordered this book without reading context. Its sad that many authors feel the need cover all genre when its not necessary. MM doesnt flow with this series. Im not against such writings, it just doesnt belong in this series. Kresley should have considered another series if this was something shes in to.

I'm an avid fan of the IAD series, but the direction Ms. Cole has taken with this book , I feel didn't fit. I have no problem with ones sexual preference, but it just felt wrong in this series. I couldn't finish it. Depressing.

I felt like the story was too rushed and over too quick. I liked the concept and was disappointed with the delivery.

This book was not an interesting and read. I found myself putting it down often out of where boredom. This is probably the worst book I have read by her. I'm not sure I'm going to read anymore of her books right now??

I love IAD series and usually adore all the books but this one was a miss for me. I just didn't think the characters had as good of storyline as the other books. It seemed very rushed and choppy. I skimmed most of the book and wish I hadn't bought it.

Disappointed. This book should have been the start of a new series.

Damn girl! You nailed it. Awesome story. Great characters. I love the challenges the characters face because nothing is easy and they have to work for each other. It makes it all worth it in the end. Also beautiful job on the togetherness scenes. Realistic and believe able. I love when everything comes together so perfectly in a story. I did thought it ended abruptly, I was ready to read a a couple hundred more pages. Lol. Does this mean you are going to be continuing this storyline or is it worked into the next book. Which I can't believe it for!!! This series is always one I can read over and over. I think I have been through it twice or three times now. :) Congrats! On a beautiful entertaining and extremely sexy story.

It was an amazing story, I truly loved it. I waited for this book for months; when it finally came out I couldn't put it down for a second. it's a male x male story, regardless of that I fell in love with the characters. its also a quick read. in my opinion it was worth the buy. also you get a bonus story for her upcoming book "wicked abyss!"

Just because JR Ward did it with success doesn't mean you've got to sell out . I also like what the previous reviewer said.

Why go there when there are so many couples to write about, or updates on the couple we already love so much.... don't listen to the editors and their stupid statistics shows baloney. your audience want F M or M F M and babies lots of babies and coming together of species to make powerful mixes. Thank you

I went into reading this book with an open mind, but it was a trial getting through it. MM is definitely not for me. The story also felt rushed and lacked detail. This may have been because this was about two men and maybe they don't have the drama of a MF relationship. I just expected better. I would recommend skipping this novel.

For the first male, male romance Cole has written it is pretty darn scorching!  Like all of Cole's book, it is full of heart, emotions and incredible characters.  I wasn’t sure at the start where she was going with the story because it seemed we were only going to get a relationship and no adventure.  Which is totally unlike Cole, but I wasn’t disappointed.  We got the adventure, we got the excitement, the danger, the romance, the everything Cole’s books is known for.   The story does end on an incredible hook for the next book and I can’t wait for that one.  These books are utterly addicting and I love this world and all of Cole’s characters.  Mirceo and Daciano are just two more to add to the yummy Immortals After Dark cake.   I am giving Shadow’s Seduction 5 Boundless stars, I loved it, and I can’t wait for more.

Shadow’s Seduction is Kresley Cole’s first M/M romance and is another sexy love story for the Immortals After Dark series. I had no idea this was a M/M romance when I bought the book (Kresley Cole is an automatic purchase for me) and I haven’t read a love story like this. Caspion is a demon warrior and a dominate alpha. Mirceo is a vampire prince and has lived a spoiled life. The moment Mirceo and Caspion meet a friendship forms and they spend time partying just as any normal bachelors would do. But the more time they spend together the stronger their bond becomes. Mirceo knows that Caspion is his mate but Caspion has no clue. After they are dared to kiss their passion ignites but leaves Caspion confused and in denial of his sexuality. Caspion fights to understand his feelings for Mirceo and his dreams of having a family are shattered. Because of his rough childhood he has vowed to work hard to leave his past behind and earn honor in the eyes of his people. Mirceo made some bad choices in his pursuit for Caspion’s love, so I understood Caspion’s reluctance to trust Mirceo. I liked Caspion and Mirceo but I wish their story was longer. We see Caspion’s character accept his love for Mirceo, but Mirceo also needed to grow up, which we weren’t given the chance to see. Despite that I thought their love story had the right mix of steamy, intense and funny moments. This is why I love this series! This was my first M/M romance and I prefer M/F romance, and I am so glad that I took a chance on reading this book. Fans who refuse to read this book because of the M/M romance are missing out on Kresley Cole’s signature style of a story filled with passion. Shadow’s Seduction follows the same storyline as all the books for the Immortals After Dark: two characters from different backgrounds/species discover they are mates, they overcome the odds against them and live happily ever after. I love the Dacian world and I can’t wait for more books in this series.

I didn't like that it felt cut off and but it's just as good as her other books, and those who get put off by M/M and want to complain that it doesn't fit clearly need to have an open mind and read the synopsis before buying it. The book was awesome.

Disappointed in her book. You either write book series about man and women together or you write about man and man. You cant switch at book like 19:(

This should have been a new series, m/m is not for me and I am bummed she put it in this series. Now it will be another year for another book I can read.
