After reading Alosha, which you must do in order to understand anything in this book, i couldn't wait to read this and when i finally started, you couldn't stop me, even if you wanted to! This book left me with so much suspense and tears and good memories! I loved every second of this read and you will too! you have to read this series! It is so amazing!

I really enjoyed the book. It was another great adventure for Ali and kept you thinking. I thought the ending was really good and made you want to read the next book even more! I recomend it to everyone.

Just like in Alosha, Christopher Pike has the ability to draw you into the story. Ali is in a jam when she enters the elemental world because she is injured and can't use her powers and she is having trouble remebering life as a fairy queen. But back on earth her friends got themselves in trouble with a wicked lady who has something to do with the evil in both worlds. Ali has to remember her fairy life to be able to save all the elementals and her friends back on earth.

I haven't read it all, but I'm going to soon! I just got the book, and I can't put it down. I really liked Alosha, and I was so excited to read this book, and I still am! These are the only books from Christopher Pike that I've read. This is the kind of book(like Alosha) that I can read once, twice, and thrity time and never get bord with it, and to me thats the best quaility. They are very well written(havent' finished TS yet, but will soon), I recomend them to anyone of any age.

Being a long time fan of the author, and not being hugely impressed with Alosha, I went into The Shaktra with mixed feelings but within the first chapter any hesitation or worry, was gone. This novel hooks the reader from the first couple pages and had me emmersed in the story for the next few days. To call this trilogy fantasy is belittling. The Shaktra merges familiar Pike themes murder, mystery, the supernatural, religion and brings in the new elements of fantasy which is something that creates a world unlike any this reader has experienced before. The ending, though quick, leaves you wanting more and I have no doubt that this novel will big a big seller. I would, however, not recommend it to young children as this particular novel, comparred to Alosha, is more violent and complex.
