Shall I Pray or Watch TV? by Vic Zarley

Should a Christian watch TV? There are many reasons why we should have not allowed TV into our homes. Shall I Pray or Watch TV? examines, from the Christian perspective, the history of television and how it has inhibited our creativity (especially when it comes to finding time or the initiative to pray). This short book is filled with humor as well as with many convicting Bible verses.

This is an excellent book for people who watch more TV than spend time with the Lord. It really opened my eyes!

This book challenges its audience to examine how they spend there time, and how it could be better spent. I know I will definantly read this again and again. God bless!

This is the author. I don't have a TV. My wife and I are very concerned to read here that someone was contemplating suicide. I wish we'd seen this sooner. We are thankful for all those who responded to this person. We have experienced the aftermath of suicide in this family and it is very devastating to the survivors. We pray you are okay and that you reach out to Jesus Christ who loves you. We pray you feel His love and mercy. Vic and Eva Zarley

I haven't read the book yet, but I was perusing the reviews when one touched my heart. I hope that the person who sounded suicidal is okay. GOD does forgive all who come to him with a sincere heart. This even includes murders and rapists. I hope that you are okay. I have been suicidal before and have attempted as well. It is not funny or a joke. Please talk to someone, GOD will listen, too.

This book is very convicting. In some spots. There are perhaps 5-10 gems scattered throughout the title. But i ciuld not read the whole thing. Our brother the author repeats a lot about a few things that don't mean a lot. For certain we need to not watch as much tv. If any at all. I have for certain been convicted and now am very "concious" of what i watch and why. It is certainly worth $3 and no more. It sounds like our friend just dictated a series of sermons.

Honestly it was a simple read that came straight from his heart and his own experience. One thing i must make clear is, we Cant love GOD with our whole hear mind and strength unless we Trully Know and have a revelation of HIS unconditional unchanging everlasting LOVE for us. We love GOD because HE FIRST LOVED US! Its a journey worth walking GLORY TO GOD!
