Shards of Glass: A Free Steamy Romance (The Glass Trilogy, #1) by Arianne Richmonde

I wanted him to love me. To the point of obsession. He filled my dreams, my waking hours, my fantasies. Brooding, controlling, sexy-as-sin Daniel Glass: my director, my mentor, my teacher. The uncompromising, award winning billionaire, the talent everyone gave their right arm to work with . . . he invaded every part of me.

But he was off-limits.

Unrequited love can get to you. It can eat at your soul. Meet the right man at the wrong time and you're screwed.

But then everything changed when I won the leading role in the steamy Hollywood movie, The Dark Edge of Love, with Daniel once again as my director. And his situation had changed: his wife had unexpectedly died in a freak accident. For the first time ever, the chance to get intimate with him was mine for the taking.
But there were demons from his past out to destroy everything. Secrets. Lies.

Obsession can be dangerous.

Glass can cut . . .

Remember that professor you had a crush on? You know the one? The one who during your college years you swooned over, dreamed about those naughty dreams at night, but alas, he was married so dreaming was the only option? Well, this is the story of Janie, actress in the making, and Daniel, Tony award winner director-actor-professor. He is a taskmaster, but he is able to bring out the best of on stage. He is the picture of her fantasy in flesh... just unapproachable. Fate throws them back together a few years after graduation. This is Janie's big chance at making it in Hollywood. By now, his wife has died in an accident and he is available. Is this Fate telling them their time has come? Once again I am hooked by Arianne's storyline and prose. She can weave a story with a myriad of emotions and complexities like few can. This particular story is near and dear to me because someone close to me actually went through something similar to this. I know things like this can and have happened, making this story even more meaningful. The attraction between these two characters was palpable as I read this story. There is a long journey ahead for them before their love can be proven true. In the meantime, we are the voyeurs watching this evolving erotic romance as each of them find their niche and discover their future. Definitely recommended!

It kept you guessing on what will happen next. Makes you think about that one crush you want but it won't happen. Can't wait to read the next book.

I like this short novel. Its not too bad. Ive read the Fifty Shades trilogy and it was amazing. I got hooked. So when i found this, i thought it would be some cheesey knock off story. But to my surprisr it wasnt. I cant wait for a continuation c:

I found the character's fascination with Daniel a little excessive, and his reciprocal behaviors made me unable to see the attraction. The depth of description given to the film industry created a positive texture, though. The dream sequences were a bit distracting from the thread of the plot. Not badly written, but I would have liked more story and less angst-filled emotional tug of war. Stylistically, nice cliff hanger at the end, but I felt annoyed at having the whole book feel like an obvious set up to buy the next one.

Thought this book needed more than a few reviews, averaging out as a 3 star rating. Its a mind-blowing short story of an actress in love with her director. However, he is taken, until he's not. Trying cast out her dirty, lovely thoughts; fate happens between these two insightful characters. I loved getting into the mind of an actress and acting world! I truly cannot wait for the next, in which, hopefully has more length. Thanks for those OMG moments during the read; I dont get those often (wink face).

I liked this book and thought the writing was good, but at times I felt like I was missing parts of the story, like Janie's feelings were so deep and real but we didn't get to read about her getting there and there was no leading up to her love of Daniel. Aside from that, I love the beginning of this story and I can't wait to read the rest of the books.
