What started out as a deal quickly became a friendship that conquered monsters.

I killed, but I escaped hell.
Emotionless. Disconnected. Cold. A mannequin. It’s what I’d become in order to survive the years held in captivity. I was able to endure the abuse and devastating loss as long as I remained detached.

But he wouldn't let me.
Crisis, the bass guitarist in my brother’s rock band, Tear Asunder. He’s cocky, rude, a total man-whore. But the rock star has far more beneath the surface of his inked skin, and he’s determined to make me laugh again.
He made me a "deal", but really, it was blackmail.
His terms were simple. Until his playful honesty became the building blocks to something unexpected. Something strong enough to pull me from the eye of the storm.

Because even though I escaped years of abuse, it didn’t mean I was free.

*Mature audiences only.
“Shattered by You” is written as a standalone, however, it is recommended you read the first two books in the series.

Best book in the series....... crisis knows when to push Haven, when to back off, when to make her laugh, and when to just hold her and be her silent strength she never knew she needed or existed. He didnt top toe around her, he was honest and true to himself which was what helped let him in, he snuck behind her shield and found a way to her heart. Loved this book start to finish.

I have become a huge fan of all Nashoda Roses book. Although sometimes I have to take a break and digest the deepness of the material. I love the carry over of the characters and continue to learn about them from a different perspective. All her books have made me laugh and cry. I look forward to reading more.

While Nashoda Rose's books keep improving with each she writes, one very bad habit remains. It's the hidden motivation for her characters. "Because of- oh, but I can't let my mind go there, or the readers of my story might actually understand why I am acting like an escaped mental patient, and that is the one thing I couldn't bear." With this book, I finally had enough of this crap, and would have ceased reading at the first mention of Charlie, this heroine's particular source of motivational blue balls. So, because the stories have continued getting more interesting, and I didn't want to break my tablet in a fit, or end up so pissed about this cheap and tacky tactic that I would not only no longer care about the unrevealed information by the time the author decided to stop dangling it like a piece of string over a cat - I would truly have wanted to smack the heroine for being so irritating. Other than that one figurative pebble in the shoe, all the characters in the story are very likeable, so I am not the least bit sorry I used my own countermeasure to keep from letting the author make me hate an otherwise wonderful book - thank goodness for the in-book search feature! Nashoda Rose, you are on your way to becoming a fixture on my must-read list, so please, dispense with the cheap, manipulative, and unworthy cliffhangers. They don't make a reader want to finish the book to finally get the answer. The readers who like your stories enough to finish reading them, do so in SPITE of such crap. Haven is a fascinating character, and didn't deserve to be treated like that. No, I am not talking about her fictional - but sadly far too often similar to the reality of many young women - abusive past. She didn't deserve to have you encouraging your readers to resent her so much because of your own insecurities about your ability to keep your readers hooked. You are a good writer. Have a bit more respect for both your characters and readers, PLEASE!

I couldn't put it down. The series is AWESOME. Dark, funny at some points, but unfortunately happens every day somewhere in the world. KUDOS for all those who can move past it and prayers for those still struggling. You have become one of my favorite authors. Thank you.

Oh Nash, how I love you, love your writing, love your books, love the characters your mind creates, love your story lines, love the sweetness, love the grit, love the love, love the possessiveness, love the protectiveness, love the dark, love the happy... I laughed out loud several times, I gasped in shock and sadness numerous times, but there was such a nice mix of happy and sad and dramatic, and it all mixed together so perfectly! I adore your writing and I honestly think I may go back and re-read this whole series again! I may wait until right before Kite's book comes out but I may not have the patience! Thank you, Nashoda! Thank you for being a writer. Thank you for writing books that I adore and would recommend to everyone to read! Thank you!

After reading “Take” from Nashoda Rose I really did a HappyDance discovering I could read the ARC of “Shattered by You”. I shamefully admit that I did not read the other novels in that series so far. But I will change this as soon as possible. Still I am able to state that the books read well as standalones – even if there are a few things leaping from the previous novels. Ms. Rose writing style already took my breath away in Take – and I could hardly find my words to write a review on it. So I hope you understand if I say that I am “speechless”. No matter the subject – this authors writing style is incredible, her story telling is great and the characters she creates are really deep and fully developed. I read an interesting word creation in another review “un-put-down-able” – yes – that is really the right word for books by this author…

Shattered by You, Tear Asunder 3, Nashoda Rose Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews  Genre:   Romance, I love the sometimes OTT drama and emotion that New Adult books provide. I like to vary my reading, jumping around genres and sometimes I just need that deeper emotion, even when it means suspending realism, that New Adult provides. I really enjoyed the first two books in this series, and was pleased to get this third one for review. Well, previous books covered Logan and Emily, Ream and Kat and we learned that Ream has a twin sister, Haven. They’d had a traumatic, devastating childhood and had done things that's hard for them to deal with now.  For twelve years he’s believed her dead, and then discovered she was alive. He doesn’t know the full story though, the horrific abuse and degradation she suffered, and she’s keeping it all boxed up, can’t bear to tell anyone.   Now Haven has been found, but she’s clearly mentally troubled by her past, and Ream is terrified of losing her again. She’s been coping by running, for hours sometimes, exhausting her body physically and mentally when she feels the stresses building, not wanting Ream to see how badly she’s affected. She thinks he’ll blame himself for believing the lie about her death. After one run, out in a horrific thunderstorm, Crisis finds her and helps her to get past Ream without him seeing what she’s been doing. He only agrees though if she promises to text him daily while they’re away touring – with that and the bodyguard Ream has arranged he hopes she’ll be safe. Of course Crisis is attracted, so is Haven, though she knows his rep – like Logan before he met Emily Crisis is known for his manwhore ways...The emotion between them feels so real, very hot and palpable, and the sexual tension is always there even when Haven is trying to keep herself closed off. Ream won’t approve though – they both know that. Still, when you’ve met your soul mate protective brothers can’t stop love. Danger though, that’s  a huge barrier and as always in this series its never far away.  You could read this as a stand alone, but I think you’ll get the best by reading books one and two first otherwise the background to events that are mentioned a lot here is going to be difficult to work out. This genre is full of events that aren't particularly realistic, but the reader needs to suspend cynicism to get the best enjoyment and so it was here. There's enough realism worked in to make events feel genuine, even if your brain says “no that wouldn't/couldn't happen” It's a great read, one I enjoyed, sex; hot, sensual, erotic scenes, and a decent backstory bringing us more of the story and characters introduced in the first three books. Its a bit less dark that the first two, the events only seen via Haven’s flashbacks and I found that a bit easier to deal with. I look forward to the fourth but I’ll be sad to leave this group of characters. Still, its a series that I like forward to reading on one of my back to back reading marathons. I find with series/trilogies I get the best out of them that way, The backstory is fresh in my mind and not dulled by months of reading other novels in between episiodes.  Stars: Five, a dark romance, very gripping and not a sweet boy meets girl style romance.  ARC supplied by Netgalley and publishers
