Part 1 of 2
In this first installment, readers are introduced to Shaun Locke, his brother Michael Locke and best friend and business partner, Dr. John Douglas Watson.
As well as Allison Price. . . An innocent American tourist caught in the wrong place at the wrong time? Or something more nefarious?

Excerpt:
"Peculiar?" John repeated with a snort. "There was nothing peculiar about that woman. Not from where I was sitting. She looked, sounded, and smelled every bit like a lovely, lovely woman." He said, pulling his wallet from his back pocket.
"Yes, like Chanel No. 5 and lilacs. And well, it's the way she wears her hair, isn't it? Loose and flowing like that, it detracts from it, but it's there. Something suspect about the way she dresses."
"Suspect? Apart from the jeans, it's identical to how you're dressed right now." John pointed out as he threw his money down on the table.
"Precisely!" Shaun whispered excitedly. "But I'm a reclusive genius detective who skulks about, and on a regular basis, engages with dullards, deviants, criminals; what's her excuse?"
John shook his head in exasperation. "Ah, she's an American." He muttered, shoving his wallet back into his back pocket.
Shaun nodded. "Perhaps, but that doesn't explain the umbrella, does it?"
John grunted. "It's London, Shaun. Lots of people carry umbrellas."
"But it was red, John, red! And broken. Come on, she's getting in a cab."

Meet the Author

Hello! Thanks for stopping by!

I like to think of myself as an author of tales that are two scoops of romantic suspense smothered in mystery and topped with a twist... Sorry, just realized I'm a bit peckish.

Overall, my preferred era, both personally and artistically, is the Victorian Age and its influence in America. I simply love the clothing, medical and scientific advances, and social graces of that time period.

Let's see, what else could I include here? ...Oh yes, influences and/or inspirations for my novels.

1.)THE SECRET LIFE OF RACHEL HILLERMAN, formerly THE HAUNTED HILLERMAN HOUSE - My hometown of Dixon, IL and family and friends.
Trivia: The Truesdell bridge collapse scene described in the book is a true historic event. More information can be found on the Dixon Historical Society's website.

2.)MURDER AND MAYHEM IN THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS, formerly HER KNIGHT WITH A SHINING STAR - The town of New Castle's rich mining and railroad history.
Trivia: The Marshal Schneider mentioned in the book was the real town marshal at the time of the strikes and he was written up several times for drinking and gambling while on duty.

3.)THE BLACKWELL BROTHERS, formerly THE UNWILLING - Bram Stoker's Dracula character as well as the cult-classic films, FRIGHT NIGHT and LOST BOYS.
Trivia: At that time, having recently read THE DEVIL IN THE WHITE CITY by Erik Larson, I was sure to include a small scene at the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago and the amazing George Washington Ferris Wheel. (Makes me wonder, was the London Eye modeled after it?)

4.)SHADOWBROOK MANOR - The film SOMEWHERE IN TIME and the island itself. From the first moment I saw it, on the approach from the ferry, I knew I would write a novel about the magical little island.
Trivia: I modeled the character Tobias Walker after actor, Sam Elliott.

Should you read any of my little ole stories, would love to hear what you think! A nice little review or rating.

Thanks again for stopping by!

Cheers
