I am the Nook Tablet's greatest fan. I've talked several people into buying it. I thought it could do no wrong. Then I tried some comics. Yes, serious readers, even scholars like me, can appreciate comics as an art form. However, this one is dark and grainy. What happened to those 16,000,000 colors the Nook is supposed to display? What's worse is that no matter how you set the font and line spacing, the type is impossible to read unless you're wielding a high powered magnifying glass. Other Tablets show comics beautifully. I hear the Fire does--although it's nowhere as good as the Nook Tablet in other ways, but I have to be honest and say if you like comics and manga, don't get the Nook Tablet. It's great for print books and magazines, but not for graphic books.
